About Arley Riverside Tearooms

Arley Tearooms, General Stores & Post Office are open all year round, and is already renowned for it's idilyic location next to the River Severn.

Arley Riverside Tearooms Description

After much thought and consideration, we have decided, for the time being not to re-open the tearoom. This will be kept under regular review and we will re-open as soon as we feel that it is safe to do so. The safety of our staff and customers is most important; in the kitchen, the workspace is so small we need to devise a completely new way of working to ensure social distance.

In the short term, if you are visiting the village, you are able to purchase a limited range of cakes, cobs and drinks (Hot & Cold) to takeaway from the shop as well as ice creams.

Hopefully as time passes, we are able to open up more. Our plan is to do it gradually; once we are happy with how things operate, we will open up a bit more.

We look forward to seeing you again soon.

Lost property. Somebody has just handed a pair of bi-focal glasses into the shop that they found on the river bank. If you find somebody who is struggling to see and is complaining about having lost their glasses, please let them know they are here. Thanks.

What an amazing spot.

The weather might be keeping some people indoors but the local wildlife is out and about peering in through the windows.

A brown ladies purse containing cards and driving license has been handed in at the shop. If you think you may have lost it, please contact us as we would like to reunite it with it's rightful owner.

Took delivery of this yesterday for customers to enjoy in the tearoom garden. Perfect for the village mums before they collect their children from school and for the teachers to enjoy after school - perhaps might have to order a few more bottles. Bewdley Brewery

The village of Upper Arley is such a beautiful place, the ducks and children can wander round in safety and we welcome so many visitors who enjoy coming here to experience the beauty and tranquility of such a fantastic village. Despite the many visitors over the weekend, when I walked our dogs just before going to bed, the quayside was clean and tidy. This was the site that greeted us this morning. Our ducks do not enjoy eating the remains of McDonalds or Fish and Chips with ...Curry Sauce or many of the other items strewn about by the late night visitors. If you feel the need to bring your late night supper to the village, please place the rubbish in the bins provided or, if they are full following a busy weekend, take it back home with you. It's such a shame that a small minority of late night visitors have little or no thought for the village. In addition to the litter, there is also an increase in late night boy racers who seem to think the village is a race circuit. Lighting in the village is not brilliant, but it does the job. Please slow down before somebody gets injured. Many thanks to Sam for doing such a fantastic job in clearing up the mess before too many people had to see it, he does a fantastic job of keeping the village tidy.

Due to popular request, we have now added Gin & Tonic to our drinks menu. We have started with Bombay Sapphire and Tanqueray Sevilla.

It looks a bit of a grotty start to the day but at least the sun should be shining later on for the Tapas. We look forward to seeing you all.

User

Visited for the first time this year and were very disappointed. We ordered two sausage and caramelized onion sandwiches and a pot of tea for two (£16.50) the sausages were small, poor quality and burnt to a crisp and the caramelized onion was spread very thinly - not at all enjoyable and left us suffering with heartburn. We asked for a small jug of hot water to top up the teapot and was told we would have to pay an extra 50p. Don't think we will be visiting again
