The changing rooms are lovely since the refurbishment, both changing rooms being built into 1 is a good idea - there are still separate showers for those who wish to have a complete wash in privacy. Reception is very spacious and airy, comfortable to wait in. Never had a problem with any of the staff, all very friendly :-) (if anything the only problem being those who swim incredibly slowly in the medium and fast swimming lanes when there's a perfectly good slow lane! But that's more of a pet peeve :P )

User

Really enjoyed coming on a Friday night just for adults swim , the staff were very helpful & welcoming , like the new changing rooms will be coming again on a weekly basis

User

My son loves his swimming lessons, 😊.

User

My girls love their swimming lessons. Thank you!

User

My child has swimming lessons in the small pool on a Friday evening and the instructor is outstanding, yes sometimes some children get more attention than others but each child in the class all develop also some classes are very challenging but again the instructor deals with this very well. I listen to parents talking and some people have been in waiting lists for week as they want that instructor and they all sing his praises!!! My child wouldn't go with anyone else now, keep up the outstanding work!!!!!!

User

Just wanted to say a big thankyou to swimming instructor Alison for making my daughters 2nd swimming lesson such a different and good experience her first lesson frightened her after going under and was really not looking forward to going again this lesson she has come out so excited about going back just wanted to say what a brilliant job she does it was like watching a different child x

User

As an adult who has only recently overcome my fear of the water and still requires a kickboard for confidence... I love attending the adult sessions. Pool side staff aren't invasive and are very supportive giving everyone space to do their own thing unless help is needed of course. The pool itself is lovely and clean, as are the changing rooms. I can't comment on other times Of The day or sessions but I find the adult only times are very relaxed, it's a lane swim so you stick to where you feel comfortable.

User

Arnold disability swimming lessons are amazing. A year ago my son was unable to swim and petrified of water. He can now swim 200m,jumps in,puts his head in the water and loves it. All the instructors are truly amazing with each and every child they teach to swim. I never thought I would see the day that my son would love and enjoy swimming. Well done for offering swimming lesson for children with additional needs. The lessons are worth there weight in gold. Highly recommend them to anyone.

User

Took my little one for his first swim. Water was cold unfortunately but other than that the changing rooms were clean, staff were friendly & my little boy seemed to enjoy himself. I'd give 5 stars if temperature was increased to suit little ones.

User

Does this include the Bonington Theatre.First time I had been and quite a nice place but boy was it hot could do with air conditioning. If it has it then it certainly wasn't working and needs checking out.Otherwise I really enjoyed the film Finding your feet.

User

good leisure centre next to library, facilities up to standard, clean

good classes and membership and everything

User

tried gerrin in but they wouldn't let me in as my body is too intimidating apparently :'(

User

I can't believe you have cancelled the 8pm Sunday night lane swimming session. It always seemed well attended and I was looking forward to getting back in to it after the long closure. What was the reason for this please?

User

How long does it take to fix three taps in the changing room toilets. They have been broken for at least two weeks now and has been reported. I pay a shed load of tax and expect the council facilities that I use to work. Some staff require customer care courses as they have no idea how to communicate with the public. A nice hello or good morning would be nice when you walk in. If the Americans can do it I'm sure we can.

User

Some of the staff on reception need lessons on how to interact with the public and deal with complaints. After sending an email about my son nearly drowning in one of his swimming lessons so now afraid to go near the water. Over a week later I am still waiting for a reply and my money back for the lessons not taken. Customer service is very poor.

Last day of summer holidays with my husband and our 5 month old. We only had half an hour free so decided we would go swimming. Firstly the reception staff seemed angry we were even there, secondly we went to get changed there were dirty nappies all over the floor (i counted at least 3!!) But we pushed on and as we had very little time my husband took our daughter to the pool and I put our stuff in a locker, as you do... I put my pound in and it got stuck, I cut my hand trying to get it out. By the time I was told to take my bags to poolside there was no time for me to swim with my family. Not only were there NO signs telling us that lockers did not accept the new pound coin but after 5 mins in the pool my daughter started to go blue it was that cold!!! (There were signs but only at poolside) Reception only agreed to refund me and I was told by the woman at Reception that she had read the temperature of the water and it was 28° which it most certainly wasn't. I am just appalled and will never go back, they ruined our last family activity and couldn't care less. Just terrible.

User

Just tried to take my 3 children swimming. Get to reception and woman doesn't even glance up as too busy on the phone. When someone else comes to reception told too full and it's a one in one out system.

Sit waiting for 15 minutes with 3 under 4 that are obviously desperate to go swimming and decide no point waiting any longer.

You've apparently got a one in one out system that just can't work when you don't know if people are nipping to the loo, changing pools etc.

Thanks for that...

User

I think the swimming teacher that teaches on a Thursday at 4pm in the baby pool, needs to take a chill pill!

I am Suprised the children aren't traumatised at they way he shouts at them and carries on.

I certainly wouldn't want my little boy in that class.
