The Art Society Soho (ASS) is an exclusive salon of UK based artists organised by artists, for artists.
Just pure artistry!
The most exciting group in international art bar none. They have been likened to an art version of The Avengers, each one blessed with a different superpower, mastery of craft, with unique talent, techniques and motivation. A mismatched crew who are united by a bold attitude and a desire to champion the creative vision that will shape your dreams. Individually they are awesome, together they are just audacious!
It is membership only for those who toil and suffer for their art.
ASS is a close-knit safe haven for the established, the emerging, the lost and the damned, who are creating and exhibiting currently in London. It is somewhere to hang out, discuss, plot, conive, propose, cavort and to celebrate their ideas with like-minded individuals (No curators, gallery owners, press, journalists, etc unless invited to speak)
ASS fulfils a number of roles such as organising shows, mentoring, advising and promoting. Primarily it revolves around its first Thursday monthly meetings where it serves a 5 course smorgasbord of arty nibblers, entertainment, news, opportunity, inside track, involvement, introduction, adventure and exhibitionism. Structured in an impromptu magazine approach with a series of 5 brief chats and presentations from feature artists, guest gallery owners, invited curators, invited art critics or journalists. All of this is rounded-off with a soupçon of entertainment and a tipple or two.
Currently based at Light of Soho members club /gallery which hosts the Societies evening soirees.
