The soup of the day is currently tomato and basil, accompanied with the choice of a freshly baked bread roll or a sun-dried tomato scone.

Chocolate Orange Shortbread, looks amazing and taste out of this world. You had better be quick because it is disappearing quickly.

The age old question was posed by one of customers this morning, should you put jam or cream on your scones first.
Opinion was divided in the tea room, but we all agreed either way that the oven warm scones taste delicious.

New to the cake counter this January, a Liquorice Allsorts Slice, on display on our cake counter next to the ever popular Maltesers Caramel Shortbread.

The ARTea Room is now open after the Festive Break,
10am to 4pm Tuesday to Saturday 11am to 4pm Sundays

Some interesting new works using beach collected sea glass. Very simple but very effective. These are sure not to hang around very long.

Part of our Christmas menu, British Roast Beef, Rocket and Horseradish.

New this week for Christmas, home made mince pies and Gingerbread snow flakes.
We have also added Chocolate Tifin to the cake counter.

The ARTea Room Christmas menu is now avaiable, it will run along side our regular menu and specials menu.

Visited for the first time this weekend. This tea room is delightful with one of the best gluten free cakes I think I've had. I'll definitely be back!

This is such a lovely place; quirky, friendly, accommodating & a refreshing difference to the typical pop- up coffee shops. Both my husband and I have been many times .. brought my grandma , mother and friends on different occasions, usually for a cream tea (the scones are bigger than average) the lunches were tasty and always a generous portion, ... I loved the varied hand knitted tea cosy and the miss matched crockery and the art that was for sale you could say it became a firm favourite of ours. However there has been a long gap since our last visit due to health problems. With in the last couple of months I have been diagnosed as gluten intolerant so you can imagine eating out becomes a huge challenge. It was a delight to know my favourite old place not only caters for gluten intolerant but has an array of things on offer your not limited at all (esspecialy as Starbucks's offer 1 item, !!) ... they offer a range of cakes .. they have scones (so I can still have my cream tea) they have bread so you can have any of the sandwiches / toasties .. I'm delighted � and WILL

be returning very soon

The food, the service and the products available - all five stars!!! Can recommend this place to everyone and I will! Over the course of a day I managed to sample most of the products they have available - sandwiches, salads, cakes and tea and coffee! All of which were truly to die for (even took a piece of cake home!) I also bought a pin-cushion which was for sale by a local crafter. James was the perfect host and is passionate about his business. I will be back soon for sure.

Thank you so much for an amazing afternoon tea today for my baby shower. Amazing food, brilliant service, the children loved their smaller afternoon teas as well & we couldn't of asked for more. Extra sandwiches made for the children to suit their tastes, bowls of fruit brought up whatever drinks they wanted. Best local afternoon tea by far. Very highly recommended for any gatherings or parties or just a nice afternoon treat. Thank you again.

Simply a wonderful afternoon tea, lots of delicious cake and a lovely selection of sandwiches. Tea menu is overwhelming!! Our waitress was really sweet and nothing was too much trouble. Definitely recommend and will be visiting again. Many thanks for a fantastic time!

Just had an amazing afternoon tea today with friends and family for my sisters baby shower. The food was lovely and really good service � would 100% recommend! There was 15 of us and they managed it perfectly �

Just discovered this little gem and love it! The food was fantastic and extremely good value for money. The cakes were all homemade and extremely yummy. Overall, quirky, quaint and absolutely brilliant. Will certainly be returning.

Had a lovely cup of tea straight after school today. My grandson Louie had the largest piece of carrot cake! I love this beautiful, cosy place!

Fabulous "baby shower" tea for my daughter. Good quality food and lots of it. Cosy atmosphere. Can't recommend it highly enough!

Came today for lunch with my mum and 2 daughters... it was fantastic, Chrissy and Hannah working today, tasty food served with a very big smile in a fab atmosphere... well done..

Beautiful café, absolutely loved the different china cups/plates. Upstairs boutique is quaint; lovely hand made items along with retro clothing. The café has lots of handmade items/paintings on display for sale.

Actually cannot recommend this place highly enough. A total little gem of a tea room. Food, drink and cakes to die for, nice relaxed atmosphere and a little treasure trove of loveliness in the form of cushions, bags, hair accessories, cards, clothes and artworks amongst other things. Pop down, have lunch, tea, cake and then make sure you have a good look around upstairs and down.My friend introduced me to this place about a year and a half ago and I'm so glad she did. Everyone needs an ARTea Room to escape to every now and then xxxx

A traditional vintage tea room serving very high class food with friendliness and good humour. Interesting and professional menu cooked by Leith's trained chef. Definitely the best tea room for miles and will definitely be back!!

A lovely lunch again today. My baked potato with beans and fresh side salad was just what was needed on a wet miserable day to warm me up. Thank you all for your happy and excellent service.

Our meal was delicious and worth the money and the wait. Probrably waited longer because 14 of us decended on them all at once for lunch but they coped very well. Lovely cuppa also.
