At the hub of Artesian Designs we have a beautiful rose in full bloom. Enjoying the last of the summer floral displays before autumn kicks in.

Great work achieved today by our brilliant trainee Josiah! Really getting the glam back I some old slabs. Thanks for sharing Helen Marple-Horvat!

Contemporary garden using high quality slate pavers to compliment the house extension and creates a sense of a bigger space.

One of the roses we bought back in June from a nursery is out in bloom and is smelling with such h a sweet and zesty fragrance. The purple hue is quite unusual as well. 'Harry Edland' is a great choice for a shrub rose that enjoys an open sunny Spot.

Apologies for the lack of shared projects recently, our social media guru has had to take some time off sick. But now she is back with us and has got loads to share! So lots more interest for you all to enjoy 🙌 Glad to have you back with the team Lucy.

Here's a view of a few shots that show our cladding using battons to cover cement retaining wall. Paul, our designer has attached them in a way that they can be used as a good back drop for climbers, as well as creating a great feeling of space by placing them with long horizontal stripes. He also put some flat to the surface and some pretruding, giving it texture and a contemporary look. It takes more time than other solutions such as more wooden sleepers... But it's very cost effective and we think it looks great too. What do you think?

Here is a past project completed early this year. We used sleepers & reclaimed stone to re-sculpt this garden. It was on a harsh slope so we formed a tiered space that is easier for maintaining and has great flow. Notice the use of horizontal cladding by the steps, we have included a more textured effect by having the some attached flat and some attached outward facing. We did this as it creates a feeling of modernity but still compliments the rustic materials. ... So end of phase 1. Hard landscaping.

who else thinks we need more of this? seems to make sense to us, less grass cutting maintainance and more space for wildlife

This is a great reminder! do you have any pools of water in your garden?

After two weeks of really hot weather, we tried starting from six in the morning, it helped a lot, but now I think the temperature is going to drop this week so it will be back to normal hours. At this time of year, spring herbaceous are over flowering and its so useful to have annuals, roses, fuchsias that keep on flowering. Abutilon is a tender shrub that will flower through the summer, which I particularly like with beautiful bell-shaped flowers.

well we had a splash of rain In parts of the country but it's still warm.. so here's some helpful hints for gardening with hot weather! 🌻🌡️☀️

A couple of flowering plants that suit the feel of this Mediterranean weather! Hemerocallis lilioasphodelus, otherwise known as daylily. A perennial plant originating from Asia and are drought tolerant! Also pictures are some of our specialist Kniphofia, otherwise known as red-hot-poker for the way they seem to catch the sunset light and almost glow. It sometimes is called torch Lilly too and is a perennial native to Africa therefore also enjoying hotter weather. They flower over several months and provide alot of nectar for bees.

Thank you to those who still share beautiful pictures of the gardens we have completed! We so appreciate seeing the joy it brings you. It's amazing what a well designed outdoor space can do for your lifestyle and how it adds to your living space! Dil Marple-Horvat

We love planting wildlife friendly choices. Inviting insects and bees by picking a few attractive pollen plants is an easy way of bringing in more wildlife to a garden space!
