With the end of the Bank Holiday festivities we will be resting our weary eyes, preparing ourselves for the weeks ahead and taking part in the A Fest; a company celebration and festival!
So, on Tuesday 28th August our pubs will be CLOSED as each and every staff member takes part in an Aspirational Celebration! After working hard all weekend for you eager Bank Holiday lovers we will be taking this day to prepare for future events and occasions occurring in our pubs soon.
NEVER FEAR, we will be open Wednesday 29th August as usual, so we shall see you bright-eyed and well rested then!

We were totally impressed yesterday lunchtime! The staff were very attentive and our wraps were excellent! Haven’t been here for a while, but I’m sure I will be back again soon!

We had our sons christening yesterday afternoon and it was fabulous. Everyone commented on how the staff and buffet were great. Tom Rachel, several Emma's and the rest of the team were attentive both before the function and on the day and the children loved the outside space Thank you guys and see you again soon x

We had a some lunch here yesterday and as usual the food was out of this world and we had Nutella Gnochi and loved it.



The staff are absolutely fantastic and always give the best service they are so attentive and friendly I wish other places in the area would get their training from the Artichoke as they are top notch

Such a tasty yummy meal, highly recommend the scotch egg, roast beef and Nutella gnocchi! Hmmmmmm and one of the best G&Ts I've ever had in a pub. Very good service and lovely atmosphere. Will be back 100% 👍🏼

Had the pleasure of playing at the Artichoke on NYE. The food is lovely, staff were welcoming and overall the atmosphere was nice. Great pub!

Excellent service today despite a misunderstanding of the booking. Manager made sure we were catered for as required and the food buffet selection that chef prepared for a party of 10 totally unprepared was amazing. ! Well done chef and thank you to the manager . Great food great atmosphere and great service . We will be back!

Very enjoyable Sunday roast earlier today. They just need to fix that door near the car park so that it closes properly (or stop people using it as it's supposed to be a fire exit only !)

The service - we were given old out of date menus, we constantly had to ask or call for a server to take drinks orders, and they took a long time to arrive once ordered. Staff didn’t know what each plate was when bringing the food out which was strange, they had no knowledge of what each dish looked like?



Overall it was a positive experience but it could be so so so much better

Not impressed Artichoke!! My friend spent so long stood at the bar (as the poor new boy had no idea what he was doing!) that our food arrived before she had even paid and sat down with our drinks ... I had to go and 'find' cutlery ... no sauces offered, the meat was fatty and Yorkshires pretty burnt! Considering the astronomical prices you charge, we were both disappointed ... oh and my friend had to stand at the bar listening to one of your staff's mum telling off the manager for apparently overworking and underpaying her daughter!! �����

We experienced bad service and it wasn't even a busy time. They also got our order all mixed up and didn't even provide cutlery till we asked for it. My friend didn't enjoy her food and barely ate any, when we told the waiter this he said 'well you chose the food'. Food is overpriced for what it is also...

Very disappointing experience. Had to wait half an hour for drinks - ordered Pimms - no fruit or mint just a slice of lemon and made with soda not lemonade. Sent it back - top prices charged for it. Staff were just students who did their best but didn't have a clue. Waited an hour and a half for the food which was decidedly sub standards. Only thing in its favour were the amazing hanging baskets. What a shame as it used to be a lovely pub. We won't be returning

Tried to go in for lunch but front and back doors locked. Full of customers so definitely open. On the plus side the coach and horses did a fantastic lunch menu. And the doors were unlocked.

Second time now they've got the bill wrong! Won't give them an opportunity to make it three times. First they didn't apply 50% off food (Monday Madness) and despite telling them I'd paid £50 deposit they didn't omit it from bill. Correction bill was presented ... still the £50 wasn't deducted! Third bill arrived, eventually with the deposit removed. 14 unhappy customers!!!
