Good food but service slow. Relaxed and not too pricey

It started off well... me and my friend thought we'd end the day with a nice meal.

This was not the case.

We ordered our food, a bread basket for starter. To follow was a king prawn linguine and a chicken carbonara for our main.

The food took 45 minutes to get to our table, I had to ask if it was coming and I was told "a few minutes”.

If I'm going to be honest, I really wish the food did not come. The linguine tasted like a bland sewer and to add insult to injury, there was a slice of lemon that was bigger than my goldfish, dumped on the side of the plate. It was a cute attempt to actually make the meal look more edible.

Let's move on to the carbonara. The pasta was cooked without salt. Myself and my friend were forced to open the salt bottle to try and further season the poorly tasting chicken. Oh, and the portions were comedy gold, a real class act; but the service, ladies and gentlemen, really stole the show.

Have you ever been on holiday, to a hotel that provides evening entertainment? You know, the ones with Michael Jackson impersonators that you really wish would just end? Well our time at Artorios felt just like that. It was the nightmare that ended with a bitchy waitress, a half arsed, nonchalant manager and two very grateful customers that did not consume their feeble attempt of creating what they thought was ‘food’.

Moral of the story kids: humble yourself and go to Nando's.

Great service, great food. Nice quiet restaurant.

Beautiful day, sun shining, blue sky! Moretti on tap, and the sauvignon blanc was lovely. Big bowl of recooked, mushy pasta for a tenner though and a bag of happy shopper salad thrown into a bowl with a few blobs of chutney and goat's cheese (which you can't get wrong and was lovely). I don't know if Norwich restaurant standards are really so low as to make this acceptable, but to me this was an utter rip off, tempered only by the lovely and very helpful waitress

It is only the service that warrants any stars at all.

Great food, staff were friendly and attentive at the right times, well priced.

Amazing food. Food was cooked to perfection. Well worth trying if you've never been.

Good food as always. Fast service. Clean and tidy. Was quiet when we went but have been when it's busy and still no problems

Enjoyed our meal today. Friendly staff. Good choice on the menu to suit most people.
