It turns out Sir Edward was a #monopoly fan too! He has a special 50th Anniversary Edition here at Arundells. Check out the snazzy carousel for the property cards. We would love to be on the special #Salisbury edition of the Monopoly Board. * * Please email salisbury@winningmoves.co.uk or vote on the Facebook page Salisbury Monopoly, and please share! Thank you!! SALISBURY ‘PASSES GO’! Salisbury is getting its very own official MONOPOLY game in time for this Christmas (2020)..., we have just announced.
It means the city’s leading landmarks, including the likes of the Cathedral and Stonehenge, will get to replace the London MONOPOLY classic streets like Mayfair, Oxford Street and Angel, Islington.
But, first, we need your help as to which Salisbury favourites get to star on the multi-coloured spaces – as well as ideas for the Community Chest and Chance cards, which will be heavily Salisbury customized. (Polling closes at 23.59pm on Wednesday 26th February 2020).

Arundells would love to be included on the New Salisbury Monopoly Board! We even have our own monopoly man. This is Fitzherbert MacDonald who lived in Arundells for over 60 years in the 19th century. Please email salisbury@winningmoves.co.uk or vote on the Facebook page Salisbury Monopoly, and please share!

So, for example, should the Cathedral be The Mayfair of Salisbury? Or how about a card sending players back three spaces for turning up in the city in muddy boots after spending the day at Stonehenge?

The house is in sort, tidy and clean mode at the moment before we open again in March. The best bit about the deep clean is getting to see so many fabulous objects close up. The house is full of treasures like these Thai Barges, we promise you will see something different every time you visit us. 📸 Jake Eastham
