TEMPORARY CLOSURE – COVID 19 – PLEASE READ
It is with regret that we must announce the temporary closure of A&S Motors at the end of the day on 31st March.
This has not been an easy decision, and we hope you can understand why we have decided to do this.
... Initially we hoped to be able to remain open to provide an essential service, but we have become a lot less essential due to the government 6-month MOT extension. Because of this, our workload has dropped significantly making it no longer financially viable to remain open. Not only this, but we are finding it increasingly difficult to get parts delivered which is affecting our service to you. We believe this temporary closure will allow us to provide our services for the long term once we are able to re-open.
We do also need to consider the safety of our staff; their families and our customers and feel we need to do our bit to help limit the spread of the virus.
We sincerely apologise for the inconvenience this might cause you and we are hoping to be back at the beginning of May, pending the latest government advice at the time.

** IMPORTANT CUSTOMER NOTICE, PLEASE READ**
In line with the new government guidelines, right now we are still open for business as usual and will be for as long as we can. We are deemed an essential service to all key workers and customers in order to keep their vehicles road-worthy and safe throughout the coronavirus pandemic. Rest assured we are taking extra precautions in order to keep our customers and staff as safe as possible and have a strict cleaning regime in place....
We have now closed our reception area and workshop to customers and will be making your visits with us as contact-less as possible. We will no longer be accepting cash payments and ideally would like to take payment over the phone to avoid contact with the card machine.
We ask all customers to be mindful of the fact that our staff are putting themselves at risk to provide an essential service at this moment in time and therefore we ask that if you or anyone in your household are showing any symptoms of Covid-19, please refrain from attending your appointment with us as we are trying our best to reduce the risk of spread and have a duty of care towards our staff and their families.
It would also be greatly appreciated if customers could sanitise their cars as they drop them off. Our staff will be sanitising them again anyway before carrying out any work and when they are ready for collection but we're just trying to keep everyone as safe as possible.

A&S Motors update to the recent development and the latest government guidelines on the coronavirus pandemic:
At this moment in time we are still open for business due to the government classing us as an exception to the closure rule right now. We are prioritising key workers' vehicles and for that reason we are continuing to take bookings until told otherwise. We are also trying to complete vehicles that were already on site. For yours and our employees added safety we ask ...that you make payment over the phone wherever possible and that you refrain from coming into reception unless absolutely necessary. Keys can be left in your vehicle in our secure car park covered by CCTV and we will collect the keys shortly after your arrival. Any enquiries, questions or cancellations; please give us a call.

As it stands right now, we are still open to help you with your vehicle needs and will do so until we are told otherwise. We can collect and drop off your vehicles for you if you're unable to get your vehicle to us and take payment over the phone 😊.
... Please be assured; our staff are wiping down keys, steering wheels, sanitising, wearing gloves and are trying their utmost to get your vehicles back to good health. We would also kindly ask for your patience at this time, things might take a little longer than usual but we'll endeavour to get your vehicle back on the road or returned to your home as soon as we can!
