Product of the Week - Yak Adventure Equipment open palm mitts have been a staff firm favourite for cold water paddling for years! As well as being super warm the open palm gives you great contact with the paddle and allows you to get your fingers free really easily if you need the dexterity for rope work, karabiners or PFDs.

Went in as a total novice with no knowledge. They were brilliant, really sorry but I didn't get the chaps name, maybe Dave!

Took me through everything, kayaks, paddles, buoyancy jackets, roof fittings. Then they set it all up for us....brilliant service, highly recommend.

We had a 2 hr lesson, just 2 of us and the instructor. £50 total

What fantastic value for money.

Lovely scenery, all the kit (if you don't want to use your own), but best of all was Max, very knowledgable, personable and fun to learn from.

He even skipped lunch (well definitely late!!) to allow us to spend money in the shop!!

We even got a coffee afterwards.

Now off to the coast to practice what we've learned.

Thanks to Mitch and Ewart for great advice and instruction for my new SUP. Got a Red Paddle co Ride 10'6, a great complete kit in a bag and general all rounder. Am in Mallorca with it now! Took it in its bag as general hold luggage no problem. Everyone's been on it from my 9 month old son, 5 year old daughter and 62 year old mother in law. She even managed to get back to shore

Second visit to buy accessories for kayaking, both times very knowledgable. This time went for clothing to extend the season a big thank you to Holly for great advice and help. Whilst there we went out for a bob on the water. Thanks for help for getting in and out with my injured Achilles. Worth the trip from the Lake District.

Mitch, Max and team thank you. A replacement hatch cover ordered Tuesday late afternoon, despatched Wednesday and received Thursday morning on Jersey C I. Complete with a tie in elastic so I do not lose it! Many thanks for such great service. Paul

The mug of tea whilst sorting out the paperwork was a nice touch, quality service, I'll be heading back to pick up a few more items! Cheers! Mike

Collected some accessories for my kayak yesterday - received fantastic customer service throughout the transaction. The team at AS Watersports are always keen to help and are very knowledgeable. They responded to my initial email enquiries very quickly and are always willing to 'go the extra mile'. Would highly recommend.

Best shop. they have what you need for any kayaking trip. The staff are not there to sale you the most expensive products they give you good sound advice which is what's missing from a lot of business these days

As a newcomer to the world of kayaking I was blown away by the array of boats and equipment to choose from! Visiting the AS Watersports shop in Exeter was a pleasure, the staff were very helpful and informative, not to mention patient, with a novice like myself asking all sorts of random questions and trying boats out and equipment on !

Totally recommend these guys for your one stop kayak shop, they've got everything you could ever need and the time to guide you to an appropriate purchase.
