... We have some excellent opportunities for driven and ambitious individuals to join our fast paced restaurant, which has gained an excellent reputation for delivering exceptional food and drink, and providing a professional, friendly service.
The ideal candidates will be excellent communicators with positive attitudes and good work ethics. Sound organisation and time management skills are essential for handling high volume business in this fast paced environment. Attention to high personal standards of appearance is also important.
Ascough’s is keen for its team to reflect the restaurant itself – which is why fun, bright and friendly personalities always shine.
Working hours available are:
5 lunch shifts approx 11am – 3.30pm Tue – Sat or 5 evening shifts approx 6pm - Finish Tue – Sat or 5 lunch shifts and 5 evening shifts Tue – Sat (Full Time) or Flexi hours - Minimum of 30 hours a week across Lunchtime and Evening
Front of House Assistant Manager / Floor Supervisor
We are also recruiting an exceptional individual to assist the restaurant owners with the day to day running of this very busy restaurant and to supervise the restaurant team. You must have experience as an assistant manager or equivalent position.
Hours are Tue – Sat 5 lunch shifts (11am – 3.30pm) and 5 evening shifts (6pm – Finish)
£20,000 - £25,000 per annum, negotiable depending on experience plus tips and annual bonus.

So we've had Kasabian, a few Tigers Players, a BBC news reporter but tonight we had one of the biggest film stars dine with us - JUDE LAW. We were star struck. We even bought the mini Ascough's to meet him especially our eldest son Jude who shares the same name #JudeLaw

Yet another fabulous evening of fine food and wine served by Chris and his amazing team at Ascoughs bistro. In our opinion top of the list for amazingly high class food quality and value for money in the area - many thanks and huge congratulations to Chris and team for your endless efforts in providing a varied new monthly menu which keeps us coming back each time.

Went to Ascoughs for a birthday treat....absolutely loved everything about it. Food was the best I've had. Can't wait to go back.

Went for lunch with friends and it was marvellous. Great ambiance, friendly efficient staff, super menu choicès at most reasonable prices. I had delicious scallops followed by grilled salmon - one of the best I've ever had and the blackcurrant brulee was sublime. A most enjoyable time and I would certainly recommend it to friends. I intend to come back from France again to resavour the food.�

Went for lunch today with my children and their daddy - and we all left extremely impressed. The set price lunch menu has lots of varied and different dishes which was great! Highlights included perfectly cooked scallops, chicken liver mousse, roast pork and a to-die-for caramel choux dessert! We'll be back for sure!

We have been visiting Aiscoughs with friends from Melton over the past five years.

This Restaurant HAS to be the very best value for money AND consistent quality over that period.

Tina Turner had the "hit" and Aiscoughs consistently live up to it....." Simply the BEST"!

We have been before but not for a little while, we had a meal here on Saturday to celebrate my parents anniversary. Service was warm, friendly and attentive and the food was amazing. Will definitely be back, thank-you for such a lovely dining experience.

We had a fantastic meal here on Saturday last ... table booked at 6:30 for 4 people. I can honestly say it was probably the best meal I’ve eaten in the uk fur a very long time. My wife is quite careful about what she eats and was delighted by everything from the quality of food to the attentive service. One outstanding point - there was nothing on the dessert menu that she really fancied and she asked the waitress if chef could make something “with chocolate “... 10 minutes later came a dish of various chocolate shaped items! Made to order ! Amazing value and quality. Will be back

We eat here often never disappointed service staff food is always top draw . One other thing the menu changes frequently so food choices are varied

Was out for freinds bday and booked long in advance .. Food was fantastic as always Bar one of the deserts being Eccles cake with Wensleydale cheese.. no whenslydale cheese... no problem they offered Red Leicester another which was hard and left on pass to long so was hard and not good.. told waiters to say take of bill.. they did this after hard discussion saying chef said ment be like that.. I said my taste is diff.. they were very polite and took off bill.. fab customer service with Bar the cheese exemplary food xx

My friend and I had lunch there yesterday.....3courses each in fact which were sheer perfection, the staff were friendly and attentive, already planning another visit

Having a gluten and dairy intolerance means that eating out can be a total nightmare! However not at Ascoughs ... they went out of their way to ensure I knew exactly what I could eat. I had at least two choices from the starter and main dinner menu. Whilst nothing on the desert menu was suitable, the chef came up with a one off concoction and it was beautiful-my favourite course of the three!

Thanks for making eating out both enjoyable and hassle free.

Excellet lunch yesterday .i had scollops Perfect Then Sea Bass Could not eat all as I wanted to have dessert Pea nut butter Profita roll & lovely coffee ..So much to choose from ""Must go again & take our grandson who is excellent sous chef Complements to the kitchen & thanks to excellent happy staff Love Audrey x

Both my wife and I went for the taster menu, with wine, and it was amazing. Ascough’s is by far my favourite restaurant and in my many visits has never served a poor dish. The staff are extremely friendly and knowledgeable about their menu and wines. A wonderful experience all round.

Booked lunch today, and was not disappointed!

The perfect treat, delicious food, excellent service, staff friendly and helpful! Hope to visit again soon.

An exceptional meal with service to match. The menu is stunning, the service is impeccable, the wine list a delight and the price very good for such a fantastic experience. Can't wait to eat here next time. Booked already, bookings need to be booked well in advance for a very understandable reason it's so good.
