Staff are always helpful and friendly. Since this is the only Asda within Hemel Hempstead the people within the area do use it but you have much more choice at Sainsbury's or Tesco as this Asda is quite small. They have tried to fit all the necessities. The car park has two levels and I suppose is for purpose. You do have to pay for the use of the car park but you do get the money back when you pay for your items within the store.
So much selection of everything there, great place to shop, friendly staff too.
one of the lady in their staff was so rude...i asked for help when she was doing nothing and she straightaway refused to help and said you have to wait and never got back to me...
Shop was fine but the toilet not so good
As good as a visit to Asda can get, really. So, "not very"
It's quite small compared to the mega out of town supermarkets these days but it is in the centre of town. They are quite lazy compared to the new guys on the block like Aldi who have 2 stores in town. Asda would rather sell overpriced branded goods than own brand that competes with Aldi. They also have the habit of de listing products and charging a lot more for something else. The staff are friendly and get to know you unlike the larger stores. *Aug 17 update* Sadly in August 17 they pretty much stopped selling fruit and veg loose. About a 90% now comes in unnecessary plastic boxes or bags AND they don't display the cost per kilo in a lot of cases. As there are no working scales, it's impossible to work out the cost per kilo unless you do the maths. So please Asda, bring back loose fruit and veg. Give your customers the value they demand and don't over package stuff.
Not enough staff on the tills and difficult to find items but friendly staff
You might get served eventually at the customer services and tobacco counter, there are two members of staff who vie for the position of serving as few customers as possible. But they are having a lovely time screaming with laughter at nothing remotely funny.
I can always get what I need at this location.
Worst supermarket not enough staff constant queues scruffy now stopping selling popular lines that I like will not be going there again
Meal deal? What a rip off! They are mixing normal food in with the meal deal so that when you get to the check out you pay full price for everything. Apparently food on the right is not in the meal deal. Then why put it in the same cabinet? Why not be more like M&S and have it altogether in one cabinet. It's not difficult. I will stick to the M&S meal deal - at least I know I'm getting a good deal and not being ripped off!
