Was a great shopping trip except when looking for light bulbs. Being a superstore I'd expect to see a bit of everything asda has to offer but apparently certain things are only available online.

Christmas shopping is always fun all under one roof, oops that's the toys R Us slogan 😂

Wanted a PS4 game for which they had 10 empty cases in more than one location. Then had to wait whilst various members of staff stood around talking, only to be told they didnt have the game. No apology, just 'they are just dummy cases. We havent got it'. Wont be rushing back.

Why do the trolleys have 2 sections? You can't use 2 trolley bags. Why do they have self scan when no-one uses it? Typical Asda: 10 years behind the competition and even then a poor effort. Aldi have better checkouts.

Visited the store this morning 24/09/17
Was looking for a item in the frozen food deoartment, could not see what I wanted, spoke to a young man who was filling the cabinets up,asked him,not only did he tell me where it was,but came to find me to make sure I had located it,which I hadn't,he picked up the item, showed me a alternative,I chose the one I wanted,he put it in my trolley with a cheerful smile, asked if there was anything else I needed help with, very courteous ,looked at his name badge it was Chris,so thank you Chris for helping this very elderly lady get the item she needed.
I always feel that in Asda you are not the invisible customer, yes there have been cut backs, but you can always find help if you need it.
A good visit all round I would say.

Tonight the store was well stocked. Plenty of staff to serve you

Good variety and prices. Staff are okay though not always willing to help in my experience but one or two bad staff cannot represent them all and a lot are great. Clean and easy to navigate.

Considering the size of the Wal-Mart group, the prices in Asda are extortionate, how come a relatively small chain like Aldi and Lidl can beat them at their own game, legalised theft is what it is.

User

Huge Asda with food court which is very economical as compare to the nearby store. There was a good outing for shopping and brunch. Loved it.

Bad service. Just been to try and change nappies that yes in my rush I picked up the wrong ones. Got told to come back at 8am, thats so helpful considering I need nappies now!! I never knew you could only return items during certain hours so check before you want to return something. Even though when asked could not tell me what the returns hours are beyond come back at 8am. Also got told there is no manager to clarify the return "hours" policy.

during our visit to this store today myself and my partner were extremely impressed to find a disabled trolly for our 2 year old disabled son. usually our shopping experience is stressful and unpleasant due to our son being too big now for the new born trollies that are currently the only suitable seating at shops. but to our amazment your store provided the perfext seating which is comfortable secure and safe for our son which gave him the opportunity to seat happily upright and able to see everything that is going on around him. wed like to say a big thankyou to you for providing this trolly you have made a little bou extremely happy. thankyou.

During a normal shop (little over £200) I took advantage of a meal deal, Main, Side, Dessert and Wine from a refrigerated cabinet for £10. At the til the cashier checked the meal deal to find it hadn't discounted the multibuy.
A supervisor was called who went off to investigate and returned saying the wrong wine had been included and that I had switched the wine.
Whilst I can understand how someone may have swopped a wine from a previous choice to one in the deal it had not been myself. The cashier noted the red wine was considerably chilled so must have come from the refrigerated rack where it must have been for some time the supervisor simply took the view I had swopped it. She pointed out a similar wine that was in the offer (at exactly the same retail price of £5.00) but continued to say I had swopped it. I regularly shop at the store, often spend similar amounts, had neither intentionally nor unintentionally sought to gain from the mistake (as I would have at least chosen an expensive bottle had that been my aim) but was, in front of other shoppers, made to feel like an attempted theif who had been caught.
I did not buy the meal deal and went straight to customer services - I had a 20 minute wait as there was a single person serving a long queue of customers with exchanges/complaints, some of which were giving up and leaving as the time was passing.
The single lady serving was apologetic and sought to get a team leader who, after a further 5 minute wait, arrived and handled the complaint in a professional manner (we both remained calm and curtious) but recorded and offered a goodwill gesture - TOTALLY MISSED THE POINT!!!!
I left feeling badly treated and fobbed off. I would have awarded zero stars but needed to put at least one to get the reviw posted.
