Could do with some modernisation and a wider variety of foods. Apart from that its good.
Need to sort self scan tills out, u off load ur shopping on the for the till to say card only !!!!! When ur in a que wouldn't it be better to let customers know before shopping unloaded
It's better than Tesco & Sainsburys & any other
This place is very good for shopping. It is open 24h. There is also a money exchange and western Union inside. Plenty parking spaces and a petrol station.
Always been happy with the politeness of the staff and their helpfulness, either helping to look for an item or even going into the warehouse to get something specifically
I always go to Asda for my shopping. The trouble is everything is in the wrong place. The toilets are 3/4 the way through the shop instead of being by the door. If I need to go it would be on my way in or out. The self service part for baskets is the wrong way round which means that when you finish shopping you have to go in nearest the shop exit and out nearest the aisles. Then you have to go past everybody else including people coming in, people queueing at the cabin and the help desk. I never get through the self service area without the machine going wrong.
Bacon Bap from the Hot Counter was Banging. Girl behind the counter at the tobacco desk needs to stop chatting to her mate and check her attitude. Also the girl in the Exchange Kiosk was beautiful, so that made the Experience a little better. 4.
It's great a touch expensive but sells a variety of different things
More hassle than it's worth trying to get here. Lately the shelves need stocking, staff not the friendliest - morale seems low here! Getting here also a task with all the roadworks and traffic jams.
Delivery always late, just called to chase where my shopping is, to be told that I'll have to take it in store tomorrow. Great when I have kids packed lunches to make and no food to put in them.
Would be a good store if...
1) They had stock and not lots of empty shelves. Seriously, sometimes it feels like you've gone through a worm hole and arrived in 1980s Russia.
2) What stock they did have was not very close to or already past its best before date.
3) They had more staff to help customers both out in the store and at the self service checkouts.
4) Upgraded the technology and software at the self service checkouts so it actually worked.
5) Stopped moving things around to try and get us to "discover" new items. All this does is stop us buying things because we can't find them!
Roll on 2017 when the new bridge opens and I can go and do my shopping in Widnes, where there is a wider selection of stores.
PS: Nothing against the staff at Asda, most of whom remain very helpful and friendly, despite being under extreme pressure as a result of under resourcing.
