Asda St Helens Superstore

Usually well stocked and offers good range, as you would expect. Self service tills are temperamental, but most staff are aware, attentive and helpful.

Had quite a few problems with Asda now and the stuff I’ve bought from them. Last year I bought my daughter a wooden kitchen from there - it apparently couldn’t be delivered so I had to collect from the store which was a pain because I don’t drive. Then when I got it home and to put it up, there was a few screws missing and aswell one of the main parts was broke. Had absolute murder trying to get my money back had to wait over 2 weeks for a refund because they apparently couldn’t give me an instore credit. I then went yesterday and paid £50 for a Christmas tree in store, used my card, got it home to put it up and one of the branches which is meant to be attatched anyway wasn’t there, so took it back today and they claimed they couldn’t give me a replacement I had to have the refund which I have to wait to go back into my bank.
The staff are always to busy. The normal tills the staff are arrogant and miserable half the time. Self serve they get to distracted gabbin to one another rather than doing their job with their rubbish machines! The George departments hasn’t ever got any clothes in the back with sizes you need. You either have to be a size 20 or 6 to have clothes available in store

Pretty good store. Has all the produce you'd need and has basic electrical goods and popular video games, books etc. Staff are mostly helpful and friendly.

Always loved asda....so much better than tesco or morrisons!

Great service also staff where very helpful when i was sitting in the wrong place after a night shift the sun shining in on me and young girls moved us and it wasnt a problem food great will come again x

Bought some sales items and had to take something back because it was wrong size. Staff very pleasant and helpfull on returns and tried to get me bigger size in another branch.

Great to visit any asda prices always very reasonable ,staff are always pleasant and h a pay to help keep up the good work

Good parking. Wide variety of foods. Comparatively cheap. Value for money.

Brilliant I had my two dogs with me in the car I ask the security man if he could keep an eye on my car through his cctv screen so I could leave my dogs in so i could pick some food up he did this for me a big thank you for your help I am 65 and was in the blue badge parking bay

Online delivery is a joke. I was supposed to have my shopping delivered last night between 6 and 7. It got to 8 and I rang them apparently they had got to me at 6:49pm and it was rejected. I was in all night. I have a dog and my dog didn't bark. I live in a cul de sac so I know they couldn't find it so didn't bother. What annoys me is that I have instructions on my account. I received no phone call or anything to direct them. And I received nothing to say they had attempted it. Now I am left with barely any food in and no money to get food as I am now waiting onna refund that will take 24-48 hours. I am so annoyed. Never using asda again. Had problems with them in the past. Its not rocket science to just call and say I am lost can you direct me. It has no truly f***ked me up.

Far too small and cramped... By trying to squeeze the equivalent of a large store into such a small area, creates a claustrophobic kind of feeling... The fruit and veg department leaves a lot to be desired also. Many of the fresh products are often spoiled and don't seem to be cooled properly. The in store range is of a good standard and there is a good choice of food but if there are any offers, they seem to sell out quite quick but being the only ASDA store in St Helens, I guess this is to be expected. My main gripe with this store are the staff, notably the two ladies who work the self service tills of an evening. They treat customers like cattle in a market auction! I understand the self service system maybe stressful for staff but to huff and puff your way through your shift, isn't helpful to anybody, especially to a customer who has just finished work themselves!! I would suggest ASDA either employ more staff on the self service or open more manned tills. Also, could the security stop hanging around the entrance like bad door staff waiting for a fight to kick off at the under 18's disco!!!!!

Hateful place, poorly laid out nothing I'd where it is in other stores, I can go in there feeling full of the joy's of spring yet always come out feeling angry. I use westbrook a lot and sometimes visit Fulwood in Preston, these other stores are much better laid out and I never feel stressed.

Poor service. A lot of common things out of stock, poor dates on food, poor staff and running out of pizza toppings!! Despite investing in a bigger counter space on the pizza section. I love asda Widnes as its cleaner and they have their shelving stocked a lot better! Please improve.
