Asda Sunderland Superstore

The shop was freezing tonight but the staff were friendly. Even the hot water tap in the toilet was cold and when I was drying my hands I was looking for paper towel as no heat from the hand dryer. It should be renamed Iceland if that name had not already been taken.

Fantastic staff who are hand 24/7 has most in not all of the products you require all at reasonable prices, Bus connection just outside of the supermarket.

Lot of useless drivers in sunderland so watch out when parking, path is banked sideways outside doors so awkward when trolleys are full, don't expect anyone inside to say excuse me either as they don't do that in sunderland. Otherwise store is average most other asda stores in north east are better.

Could have been better. I used the self service till with the conveyor belt. I unloaded my trolley and filled the entire belt only for it not to move. I asked the shop worker how to get it working. She pushed in the emergency stop button then pulled it out. Said 'doesn't work'. Walked off. Couldn't even be bothered to look at me during this. Not the normal friendly service I usually get.

Not enough staff on tills, only self scan available, the shop floor had loads of staff stocking selves, maybe 2 staff members at least in till area especially when machines are temperamental, this was 2am I must add, the staff tried very hard and always friendly and helpful

Staff need re-educating in customer service, the staff member who 'assisted' with my self scan issue didn't even speak.
