About Ashbourne Railway Station

Ashbourne railway station formerly served the town of Ashbourne in Derbyshire. Two stations have been located in the town. The first from 1852–1899 was opened and operated by the North Staffordshire Railway and was replaced at a new location by a station jointly operated by the NSR and the London and North Western Railway. After 1923 the station was owned by the London, Midland and Scottish Railway and subsequently the London Midland Region of British Railways until final closure in 1963.
