We had terrible weather. Our pitch was almost flooded out but the owners were great and offered to move us. The facilities at the site are perfect. I would highly recommend it
A very enjoyable week wild camping in Ashbourne woods
Lovely location
Spacious pitches in the woods with fire pits already planning our next visit
Many thanks to the owners & fellow campers
Great site. Kids loved foraging for sticks for the fire. Facilities nice and clean. Would definitely come back!
Great wild camping, decent facilities and sell basics (coal, wood and great REAL Bacon) . We had terrible weather, but the campsite was great, friendly staff too. Also has a fantastic pub easy walking distance (Church House inn) well worth booking a table for dinner.
Fantastic, just what I hoped for. This is my first time going semi wild camping and it has been an amazing experience with my wife and 2 children (6 and 3) we are surprisingly close to the facilities even though it doesn't feel like it due to the sections of forest creating a barrier. Plenty of firewood to forage and logs for sale at a good price. Lots of room to go exploring and safe for the kids as it is all contained. Beautiful environment and wonderful bird song. The staff are very friendly and have lots of tips for days out. I will be coming back next year!
Loved it here!! Had a great couple of days staying in one of the micro lodges, lovely setting in the woods, fire pit and picnic table on our pitch. Clean toilets and showers close by, friendly helpful staff, couldn't fault anything! Thought it was a beautiful setting, will definitely go again !
Can't fault this site at all! Been there a number of times, the staff are great, the site and facilities are well maintained and the pub down the road is excellent! The wild camping pitch is great for me as I have a bad back and always sleep in a hammock when camping.
Best campsite in Devon. Amazing wild pitches.
Absolutely amazing place....staff very helpful and work hard to keep the place spotless....definitely be back....not a bad word to say...thank you for everything X
£18 a night for a wild pitch in the woods. Fuel for fire at extra cost. It was a quiet space that was so wild that I saw a deer at 500 meters from my tent. Basic toilet, shower and kitchen facilities.
