About Ashford Karate Jutsu Kai
Kickboxing and karate classes for children and adults in Ashford and the surrounding areas.
Ashford Karate Jutsu Kai Description
Karate Jutsu Kai promotes a strong spiritual sense of inner well being through rigorous physical training and martial conditioning. The training can be categorised into 3 definable elements, which have been developed and refined through hundreds of years of constant study. These areas are listed below;
Kihon
Kihon is the fundamental building blocks in Karate Jutsu. It is the basic tools of karate-do, which help students to develop good effective self-defence techniques. The constant application of Kihon increases fitness levels, focus, inner spirit and the perfection of techniques with deadly efficiency.
Kata
Kata envelops the axiom of Karate Jutsu through the movement of preordained techniques and varying stances against an imaginary opponent. Like shadow boxing, Kata develops elements of realism through fluid movement, enhancing focus, good timing, discipline and breathing. In short, Kata is an integral part of karate-do.
Kumite
Kumite is the amalgamation of kihon and kata. It represents the physical combat between students, be it semi or full contact. Kumite in the dojo introduces the karateka (student) to sparring within a co
ntrolled environment which helps to condition the student as well as familiarise themselves with techniques he or she have been practicing at kihon level. Karate Jutsu sparring is an effective form of combat, delivering techniques to disarm or disable an opponent efficiently be it in the dojo or on the street.
OTHER AREAS. . .
As well as the above Karate Jutsu also has the following events, which form part of the annual curriculum.

We looked at a few Karate clubs in Ashford we even trialled one before we came across Ashford Karate Jutsu Kai. We cannot believe how well our 2 boys are getting on here. The club is more like a family and are so supportive. They work our boys hard but they always come home with a smile on their faces and wishing the classes were longer.
As well as fitness and obviously Karate the boys have learnt discipline and respect and have made lots of friends.
Thank you to everyone at the club. We highly recommend it to anyone.
Very good team
This is the single best thing I have ever done, got me through some of the hardest times of my life as well as allowing me to make some of my best friends in the process! It's not just learning self defence and the art of karate Jutsu Kai which in itself is beyond beneficial, come down and see for yourself what training with us can really be like, OSSU xx
Karate has been part of my life for 18 years now, I can truly say it is part of my life and most probably alway will be, not just training at Ashford stour centre but also all over England and even Europe. The way of Karate is intense but secure. I have made great friends and family along my way of Karate. Plus a good fit body! Ossu
I visited Ashford Karate after a decade long absence. Many friends were still there, still young (and even younger). Everybody helps each other here, nurturing the bond with her/his neighbours as well as children. This is something more spiritual than mere physical exercise and we cannot buy it. Most of the sports originated from Britain and she again inspired fresh energy into Karate. I was also reinvigorated from healthy kids.
Thank you for the great day.
I have been training for 11 years now and can honestly say it is the most amazing journey I have ever been on keeps you focused and strong in every aspect of your life.
I can honestly say this is the best way to gain true fitness and strength along with stamina and power, I owe a great deal to Karate and without it I may not have succeeded in the other areas of my life and along the way I have met some great people!
Everything about AKJK is brilliant, I've been part of the family for about 15 years now and wouldn't change it, the students and the instructors make it all worth while, would recommend it to anyone/everyone, such a voluminous amount of benefits you can gain from it. Started from young now AKJK is a huge part of my life. Ossu
