I hired 2 vans for a house move. Things didn’t go to plan and had to extend the hire on 1 of the vans for an extra day. The staff were excellent and understanding. We were able to have the van for an extra day with no problems.
Highly recommend this company and would definitely use them again

So we saw this company online, phoned them and asked about availability of Luton van and was told it was available however the only way to get the cheaper rate was book it online. Weird they won't match their own online price over the phone!?!? So we sent the booking but didn't receive anything from them so phoned the next day, the van was still available and they did something so we got an email which we had to reply to, to confirm so we did that and got an email saying they have no availability!!!! Stupid customer service

Used their garage services years ago for a cambelt change and sump repair.

I was told by the business owner "There's no such thing as can't be done". The car came back out with the old cambelt still in place because they couldn't do it. The oil filter then fell off where they'd not repaired the sump properly and emptied all it's oil - luckily i killed the engine quick. I was due to fly abroad the next day and had to cancel that - cost me £120. Worst thing was that they deliberately told me the cambelt tensioner bolt was rounded off and the engine would need to be lifted out.

When the engine was lifted out (elsewhere) the bolt turned out not to even be rounded or seized but getting the car running after changing the belt caused endless hassle including an over heating engine and a headgasket failure along with a shot ECU.

Can't fault their van hire services (though only used once) but I would NEVER touch or recommend their garage services again.

EDIT: John I have photos of the car on the asda roundabout and paperwork of the recovery. No need to suggest I'm a liar.

I have used Ashford Self Hire for both car and van hire, and had fantastic service all the way, but what I wanted to review was their Garage Services. I have used these on a number of occasions for routine work such as servicing and MOT and emergency work (brake failure and fuel leakage) and on all occasions have been completely satisfied and more than happy with the speed of service and work carried out.
As someone that knows very little about motor vehicles I feel totally comfortable with their pricing, service and workmanship.

absolutely terrific company.... a real pleasure to rent from ... all staff are really friendly... had to extend hire on a weekly basis and there were no issues whatsoever...... they are so easy going.
