Asian Box

Such a shame, good food but was charged 50p surcharge for using a DEBIT card. Could pay by debit card anywhere else in Plympton without a surcharge.

I ordered from Asian Box and am highly disappointed, I will never order from here again. I called Asian Box to complain about my food, chips were aneamic, sweet and sour chicken balls were doughy, crispy chilli beef had the texture of a cooked product but the inside was cold and the outside was warm, egg fried rice was more like boiled rice. Awaiting a call back I felt extremely nauseous and unfortunately my stomach decided to reject what little I had eaten. The Manager called me back approximately 3 hours later with his findings as follows:
Chips are pre-cooked then flashed to get heat through them
Sweet and sour chicken balls they were doughy due to fresh chicken used then coated and fried!!!!
Crispy chilli beef they don’t use a lot of sauce it is purchased already made which they then heat. The sauce is minimal and you need to ask for more if you want more (it was very dry)
Egg fried rice they are the healthier option of take away hence the bland taste.
I was offered a discount which they don’t apparently offer but I had to refuse as I will not be ordering from this establishment again

They get our order wrong almost everytime. Always get a very unsympathetic "sorry". Though they are never really sorry cause guess what?... yes they get our order wrong again. Fed up with it! Was told the manager would call me but guess what?... yes exactly, no phone call. They are not sorry. They dont care! Well i shall take my £1100 per year chinese food expense else where from now on! There are plenty of better chinese takeaways in plympton to choose from *cough cough seymour road!*

Just to summarise.... The customer service is terrible!!!

Thoroughly disappointed with the service provided by Asian Box. I decided to go for a change and try Asian Box rather than my typical Chinese takeaway: China Chef. It is safe to say that I will never make this mistake again. Not only was the food dry and tasteless, it was accompanied by pubic hair in the 'egg' fried rice. It makes me question how many other 'special' ingredients are residing in my stomach and the leftover food that I am not willing to eat. Attached is photographic evidence of the atrocity that my seven year old daughter and I had to endure.
I highly recommend that you avoid purchasing from Asian Box in the future unless you like the taste of pubic hair in your mouth.

Good food not greasy and tastless, easily ordered online and quickly prepared in 20 minutes, would recommend
