Holy moly - what a fantastic night, celebrating with great old and new friends, at Oran Mor, Glasgow. Big love and enormous thanks to Duncan Kennedy for co-ordinating this magnificent event, to Emma and the Ragmen, Awkward Family Portraits, the Shiverin' Sheiks, Rob Heron, John Miller and his Country Casuals and Martin Stephenson and the Rocketts for performing. What an absolute belter of a gig - absolutely superb! Thank you enormously to all who traveled from near and far, ...contributed prizes and dug very deep to support our noble cause. And thanks also to the guerilla raffling team. Though greatest thanks and biggest respect is reserved for our wee pals in Glasgow. Their fortunes bring us together to enjoy the best of times in the greatest company, this time celebrating his pending return home. And so we plan our next adventures to ensure he receives the best treatment and therapy to maximise his prospect of the best recovery. We'll be in touch soon lovelies....

This time next week we'll be soaking up hangovers, bunkering down for an early night or experimenting with the hair of the derg, after a cracking night at the Oran Mor in Glasgow, organised by our great friends north of the border. The line up is fandabeedozee and features Martin Stephenson and the Rocketts (Joe Guilan and John Cavener), The Shiverin' Sheiks & Rob Heron, John Miller and his Country Casuals, Awkward Family Photos and Emma and the Ragmen, If you haven't pin...ned down a ticket, you should do! Tickets are available at this link - http://www.pmmusic.co.uk/event/asking-for -a-friend/… If you can't make it, you can catch Martin Stephenson and the Rocketts at the Schooner in Gateshead this coming Thursday (10th January). It would be grand if you come pop along to pay a visit and wish us well on our perilous journey north. In the meantime, here is a taster - John Miller and his Country Casuals, who will be reforming especially for the evening. Perhaps...... See you there sweeties.

Wishing a Happy New Year to all of our readers. Especially our wee pals in Glasgow, who haven't been able to share these times with us, though have been instrumental in bringing us together. We look forward to great times ahead and hopefully, a visit by our special friend and his incredible wife to one or more of the events we are planning this year. A special thank you for helping us to raise over £13,000 to support them on their journey. Yep, you read that right - £13,000. You're all marvelous and it's a privilege to be in your company. Big love to you all and all the best for 2019 x

Big thanks to Ally Lee, King SIzed Voodoo Traveler and the lovely people at the Schooner for raising £120 for the Asking for Friend fund. £120 was raised when Ally was challenged to don a USAF Top Gun pilot's helmet and play Kylie Minogues Can't get you Out of my Head in the style of Ramstein. Of course, he rose to the challenge and delivered effortlessly. No less than we would expect. Thanks muchly you lovely people - and have a very Merry Christmas!

Yoohoo. A little taster to whet your whistle for the Asking for a Friend gig at Oran Mor, Glasgow on January 12th January. I think there are around 30 or more travelling up from the north east. Fabulous! If you've a spare seat or two in your car, if you need a seat or if you've managed to weedle cheap train tickets or accommodation, would you drop a line on this post to let others know. I'm keen we don't leave anybody behind and we save as much money as we can for beer and skittles.

Holy camoley! Tickets are going fast for the Asking for a Friend event at Oran Mor, Glasgow on 12th January 2019. So much so, Sky is reporting that it may sell out out very soon - much to the relief of Santa. By all accounts he's struggling to keep up with demand, making and delivering tickets to those lucky peeps who've been good all year and have managed to bag a ticket. Small wonder though. With a line up including Martin Stephenson and the Rocketts, Shiverin' Sheiks & Rob Heron, John Miller and his Country Casuals, Awkward Family Photos and Emma and the Ragmen. If you, or know somebody you know would like to bag a ticket, but you've been a little too naughty for Santa to be interfering with your stocking, you can buy tickets at http://www.pmmusic.co.uk/event/asking-for -a-friend/ Do it - we'll see you there!
