From the time we checked in at the aspire desk to the time we left, the staff were an absolute credit to the aspire brand , so polite and friendly, will definitely revisit this lounge again and can’t recommend it enough

I have to say I’ve been here lots of times, and this was the poorest. Having to get food and drinks individually from my husband was ridiculous, as we couldn’t leave our bags unattended, meant we were eating and drinking at different times. Food was particularly limited, mostly vegetarian and my husband loves meat. Also good needed to be replenished more often.

However, I can’t fault the staff who were very pleasant and polite at all times.

User

Shocked at how this lounge has gone down hill. Tables dirty and used plates and cutlery not cleared after 2 hours. No clean cutlery I guess because it was not washed up. Staff miserable especially the barmaid. Kept running out of food as well. I will be writing to head office.

Really poor today compared to other times I've visited. It was breakfast time and they'd run out of butter. The eggs were salt with a bit of scrabbled egg in. And being veggie the eggs were my only option so I had to eat them with dried bread. By the time we were leaving they put beans out but it was too late then. We also had to ask repeatedly for forks as there were none out. They've also changed the lay out so you don't help yourself now, you have to ask for drinks. This is fine but there are signs saying that on your second drink you'll be asked if you're ok and on your third you'll be warned about drinking too much before flying. Not very relaxing is it.

Just arrived at the lounge. Very disappointed. Only got Stansted Airport lounge to compare it to but that was far better. Here there is no toast! Only a dry white roll. Hot food is sausage bacon beans & scrambled egg. No good for a nonmeat eater! So the only other option is warm yogurt with museli. I ask if there’s any fresh fruit salad “no” was the answer! No porridge or other options cooked to order. Staff standing around chatting while tables are dirty. WiFi is hit & miss. Very poor & won’t be using again.

After purchasing two passes at 38 pounds and having previously used aspire lounges in the UK and abroad... This was so disappointing. Lunch options: mac n cheese, soup or couscous and salad. The mac n cheese was both cold and hot in places which calls into question food hygiene and the general feeling was of very bad value. Avoid and just grab something at a service station enroute.

When you pay the best part of £40 for 2 passes to an airport lounge you expect a certain level of service, quality and environment. Aspire at Bristol Airport delivers on none of these things. Surly service, the food was worse than a school dinner and recharging points that don't work is unacceptable. Save your money and eat and drink at many of the regular eateries at the airport. That way your holiday will not start with a huge disappointment.

When we arrived the two gentlemen on the desk were very slow at service, giving all of their attention to one guest, who was booking in on the day - ignoring us who had prebooked. We only received access when stating we did not have long to enjoy the lounge. Once in the lounge which was serving the breakfast menu, we were left feeling further dissatisfied. The food and juices was not being replenished, my father asked if there would be anymore pastries and he was told in 20 minutes. Bacon was very undercooked, glasses very dirty, we overheard another gentlemen complaining about this and staff ignoring guests, talking amongst themselves. When we visited the ladies bathroom it was very unclean. None of this reflected the type of experience the lounge is supposed to offer and certainly does not warrant the £70 paid. The lounge will not give us a refund of any kind saying we are making some of my complaint up.... and Bristol has one of the highest standards of lounges... so why are there so many complaints saying the same thing? Terrible. The staff have no idea of customer service.

We visited this lounge on 14th July. The initial welcome was poor to say the least- the person who checked us in was extremely rude and questioning of us as a family of four. We were made to feel very unwelcome and certainly were not treated as paying customers- this unfortunately then set the scene for the rest of out time there. The food selection is poor and you are left waiting for what is there to be replenished, the drinks selection is ok but you are made to feel that you should not have a drink to start what was intended to be a first family holiday for 6 years. the large TV screen did not work and so missed out on ladies tennis final and historically England in 3/4th World cup play off. We booked so that we could have an enjoyable and relaxing start to our holiday. Staff need some serious training in customer service!!

User

We used this lounge on Thursday and thank the lord it was included in our holiday package because i sure as hell would not waste my money on it. There was very little choice for food and snacks. Anyone with food allergies i would not suggest booking this lounge. They had no option available straight away and had to source food from other places which took a long time. The staff were rude but i'm not really surprised with the lack of staff there in the first place.

User

Very poor compared to previous visits. Food was minimal and not replenished, one drink per person at the bar is shocking. My wife and I had to queue separately for drinks or leave our bags unattended which is totally against airport policy. If u visit as a couple prepare to drink alone as they don't rush in serving you either. Very disappointed.

Rubbish dirty running out of everything and not filling it up couldn’t find our booking for ages rude staff never again I would rather mucdonalds and I hate it there

My wife and i booked Aspire Lounge Bristol in May 2018 prior to flying to Paris for a special birthday. On arrival we found staff were rude, the lounge was overcrowded and tables were very dirty from spills and used plates and glasses. We found the food and drinks were poor quality and minimalistic, furthermore when we tried to buy a glass of Prosecco we were faced with ridiculous hoops to jump through such as re-scanning our boarding pass and card payment only, then told we couldn't buy any as they had run out!! We will never use Aspire lounge Bristol again as we were extremely disappointed with the whole experience. I even had to go and ask for a cleaning cloth and antibacterial spray to clean our own table before we used it. I may as well have posted the £52.00 i paid for this bad experience down the drain!! Never again!!

User

It was my first and last time using the Aspire lounge. We were in a group of six. We were limited to three drinks each although other tables were getting more than that. We think it was because we were younger than everyone else in there. When we asked why the staff were rude and said we had had our limit and reffered us to the sign. However 3 half pints drinks is hardly a limit. The food was limit there was only pasta and rice and peanuts available. Wont be using again as staff were very rude and were talking about us in a corner after they refused to serve us.

I travel a lot and I find Bristol lounge the poorest lounge I have used , if you can get in as they stop people when half empty.. they must be on a bonus to save on food as every bowl is empty and you have to keep asking , do you have a biscuit!! Do you have salad 🥗, so on , ask for white wine !! So we don’t have any .. only good for large groups that are just wanting a drink , not if you have bought a card from one of the many lounge companies.. don’t they make much from them ?

Hi

We arrived at your lounge on 9/6/18 at 3pm , upon arrival we showed our pre booked invoice and was told to fo into the lounge upon entering it was extremely hot and full resulting in my family having to stand and wait even tho we had pre booked and people in front of us just walked in payed and sat down ,

When we finally found a table it was right at the back and was so hot it was unbearable, the plugs on the tables didn't work and there was not a chance we could connect to wifi at all after trying for over 30mins we gave up ,

We then had food and a drink each for me my husband and daughter , and sat down then around 15mins later a lady arrives and asks us to move as we were just 3 in a 6 seating area (the only one available at the time) so we said yes ok and moved to just the side of where the knifes forks and cakes were , the table there was so high my daughter whos 11 couldnt even reach the table ,

So she put her food on the side of her chair on the arm to eat only for the tall foreign worker to come over and tell her she cannot eat on the chair ! , upon this i said you moved us here and she cannot reach the table to eat , with this he walked away , everytime i went to get a drink (i think 3 times ) i was questions as to who they were for and had to show them my husband to let me even get the drinks ,

Then a group off all men ( that it says is not allowed ?) around 10 of them sat not far away and swore and shouted drinking loads to the point the police was called ! Why were they even let in i ask , my daughter and myself had 2 hrs of swearing shouting and awful behaviour ,

Untill they were asked to leave , the gentleman behind the bar the tall foreign one i asked what bottle larger they did and his reply was pointing to the fridge those 2 with such an attitude that made me feel awful , it was our first time using the lounge ,

And i can safely say never again , it was truly awful not relaxing , it was boiling to the extreme my daughter felt sick, no wifi even later on when there was hardly anyone in there , we got moved to a seat and table that we couldn't even eat from and then was told off for eating on arm of chair with not an offer of help at all ,

Honestly ive never had such a bad experience ever!! There were no papers as apparently they hadn't been delivered, the fruit bowl just had about 4 oranges , it was horrible , i am going to take the matter further and require a full refund as the standard was diabolical in there , we as a family would have had more enjoyment sitting in burger king !

I look forward to your response regarding these matters ,

And request a full refund ,

Thankyou

Booked the Bristol Aspire lounge through Lounge Buddy for 5th July from 4.00 pm. What a complete and utter disastrous start to our holiday:

- no beer, when it arrived it was warm

- no cutlery

- no rolls

- no soup

- no clean tables

- no loo paper

Complete chaos hence I phoned Aspire there and then who spoke to a member of staff in the lounge to confirm what I was saying and I asked that on my return I received a full refund and was given a reference number. Well I have returned, gone through Lounge Buddy as requested, and they have come back to say Aspire will not issue a refund but on the basis of my complaint and photographic evidence Lounge Buddy will refund my money. Shame on you Aspire!

If I could have used a zero rating I would have.

Biggest waste of money!! Don’t bother go to Burger King....... cramped seating, no food choices and only a few different drinks available! Actually annoyed at myself for wasting my money!!!

Aspire Lounge Bristol Airport won’t serve you a drink if you’re disabled or can’t speak English. A new rule imposed yesterday states that unless you are capable of going to the bar in person to order your drink they will not serve another on you behalf. Disgusting in 2018.
