The result was a new communication protocol, which we have assigned the name “Protocol X”. This modular system allows clients to configure the data content they require from our devices, and to add new features and applications as and when required. We hope that this will make life ...easier for all of us in the industry and allow new developments to be deployed and integrated more quickly than ever before. We are currently seeking an individual to join our technical team at a junior level. Qualifications and experience are not necessary, as on the job and academic training will be provided, but we are looking for someone with an interest in electronic hardware engineering / technology. Applicants will be expected to demonstrate their technical / engineering interests with examples of activities and projects done in the past, maybe in school/college or in leisure activities. ...This role will include bench work on fine pitch connectors and manual work (repairs and prototyping etc.) on highly integrated PCB assemblies, hence we require an individual with excellent manual dexterity skills.
Duties will include:
• Quality assurance (testing and inspection of PCBAs) • Final assembly of products • Production of custom cable assemblies • Fault finding and repair of PCB assemblies • Testing a verification of new firmware releases, plus new products and accessories • Client technical support
The technologies employed in our products encompass a variety of exciting applications such as GPS, GPRS, 3G, CANBus, Bluetooth, MEMS Accelerometers, RFID/NFC and power-management using lithium polymer batteries.
The role will be based from our office in Manchester city centre. Working hours are Monday-Friday, 09:00 – 17:30. Annual leave allowance is 25 days + public holidays. Rate of pay and benefits are negotiable.
