What lovely find .. went in for lunch and just picked a few bits off the snack menu all delicious but would highly recommend the falafel .. great atmosphere and service .. will defiantly be going again

What a hidden gem! Fabulous outside space, blankets & heaters in colder weather, canopy cover or sunshine and the loveliest cocktails! Really pleasant staff and beautiful food. What’s not to love?!

If I was a York local it would be a regular haunt.

Went for lunch mid week. Lovely decor, friendly and relaxed atmosphere, and good service. Food was very tasty and decent portions. Would definitely go again - probably try it for dinner next time as it is nice to find a hidden gem that stands out from the usual run of the mill city restaurants.

Well worth a visit the food is brilliant and the drinks are equally as good top notch service by the staff well looked after .

Well I was at this venue on 4th May with my sister in law adopted sister and friend (All the same person) we were well looked after by the very friendly staff and the food was delicious. Great ambience.

We'd stumbled across this restaurant while trying to find somewhere special to eat for my birthday meal. Well this place did not disappoint. From the moment we were greeted by the host very hospitable. Food was amazing! and it was not a case of one in one out. I haven't enjoyed a relaxed meal and enjoyed amazing food in such a long time. When I visit York I will definitely be visiting here again. What a hidden gem 💎

Stumbled across this gem after being let down by a restaurant. We didn't have chance to book but the waiter made a lot of effort to find us a table and we weren't disappointed. Food was 1st class and the service was great. It's fair to say next time we visit York we'll certainly be booking here.

Staff were all lovely people very happy and accommodating . Pasta was delicious very tasty, chicken ceaser salad, i am told was excellent. Lovely atmosphere,music, blankets as we ate outside as well as a patio heater. As for the sticky toffee pudding...... just delicious. Good value for money, highly recommend and i would go back. Thank you

Passed it Friday afternoon looked at menu and stopped off Saturday for lunch food excellent service excellent we only had main course but the desserts that we saw looked good too, wine was top and you could see some super cocktails being made

Once again our visit to Ate o'clock last night didn't disappoint. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, the atmosphere was perfect and the food, well the food was perfect. Cooked to perfection and beautifully presented. Try the duck! It was my husbands 40th birthday and they kindly surprised him with a small personalised dessert. Ate o'clock is a gem in York and shouldn't be missed.

Last night 30/6/18 me and my partner ate here. Nothing was to much trouble for the staff. Made us feel welcome and catered to our needs. The food was so delicious we had the three courses which normally we wouldn’t of. It was also nearly closing and they never rushed us at all. I would definitely recommend them to anyone and will certainly be coming back. Thank you so much

Hello yes the steaks my girlfriend and I had were delicious and also I had the Brie with the strawberry stuff which I had WITH my steak and it was the best thing I’ve ever tasted also the service was amazing and we both really fancied the waitress we had she was so lovely (she had glasses and made us laugh about wine)

Found this restaurant tucked away down a little side alley. Cannot rate it highly enough . Lovely food in a really good atmosphere.

Excellent food and ambiance.... relaxed and casual, being hidden away is an advantage, reminds me of places in Europe, al fresco dining a bonus

Everyday people rush around and take easy options or familiar on street brand names go sit down and feel like your on a feeding conveyor! Now I’m not saying you won’t be satisfied or feel you have feed your face for a few quid



BUT STOP �

Slow down and you can find quirky ginnels that lead to beautiful settings and foods to please many varied taste buds , a bit like finding Aladdin’s cave

Your greeted And taken to your table and shown great mannered service like you would at a top hotel , a simple thing like asking if you would like your coat to be hung up in a more presentable way instead of crumpled up next to you or over your chair , small point but a good one

From greeted and seated , your offered the usual menus chefs specials to your order for drinks but not rushed

Take your time to settle in and enjoy your surroundings and sit back listening to nice music �

After deciding your food choices and there’s plenty

Just wait until the different foods pass you and smells break you until yours comes and boy worth the wait



We chose to sneak in a few starters and then hit the chefs special for the mains bargin that day two 8oz steaks and bottle of GOOD. House wine and trimmings £34

OMG was we in ore from the starters to the main never wanting it to end

Crazy how food can bring you to your knees wanting more and more m

We opted to control ourself and not have a pudding but it was a hard devotion one of costing and not wanting to over indulge on top of a great meal and flavours still lingering in our mouths

Only a few other things could supersede this sex or wining on a scratch card

What a loverly find and defiantly a win for us and many re visits whilst in York

Lucia’s may have lost a good customer to a similar street version of the European street restaurants

Absolutely decedent. Had the mussels starter and was blown away by the flavours in the sauce. Was followed by the steak special (Two steaks and a bottle of wine for £34) and was flabbergasted, everything was cooked to perfection. To top it all off 2 for £10 cocktails which not only were they refreshing but generously sized. A solid 10/10, I highly recommend to anyone, give this little hidden gem a shot and you will be amazed. - Easily one of the best restaurants in York, with extremely friendly staff.

My burger was nice but my sons steak was poor and a tad fatty.



Friendly service was the best part.



....and the gents toilet was gross! Get it sorted out!

Just average .... I would go again to mabey the special board as that would probably be about the right price to pay ... nice atmosphere and friendly staff xx not got the chocolate fountain with fruit anymore which made the place different from the rest so that was disappointing too ...

Went here last night for a meal with my family started were good, but the main courses my aunt had the mushroom and truffle risotto which didn’t have much taste, me and my mom have the chicken and cheese burgers both of us have been suffering with sickness and diarrhoea today (me suffering more)! The restaurant looks very nice and staff very helpful, but I won’t be having the chicken and cheese burger again if I go back
