Hi Bev here from Atelier Arts! I’ve done a ‘YouTube’ video for our students.. we have a WhatsApp group where we are sharing work for our Atelier Arts art students. We are sad at Atelier Arts. No more classes. No more public openings. No more events until this is over. We do, however, have a wonderful community that we can keep in touch with on here. We can share paintings, from our walks while we can, from our gardens, from our kitchen tables. We can post stuff for sale if we’re so minded, personally, I’ll probably just put up stuff that might amuse or entertain- possibly even amaze! Anyone who has joined in our classes, ever, can joi...n our WhatsApp group for chats and also for videos and tutorials that Beverley Chapelhow and I plan to post. (Message Keith Parkinson or Bev with your phone number and we’ll add you). Some tutorials will probably find their way into here. Tonight’s class was strange in many ways! We kept our distance, we washed our hands, we laughed, we cried, we sang Happy birthday, we ate home made cake, (thanks Diane Hollingworth) amazing! We did try and paint. I love my job, teaching art to wonderful people we meet each week. 😊 see you all soon.

Beverley and Keith have been a right pair of scrubbers today! The studios and teaching room is gleaming!!

CORONAVIRUS At this stage it is difficult to plan too far ahead. We are following the news and will make decisions as responsibly as we can. We are still following our usual openings. PLEASE DO NOT ENTER THE BUILDING IF YOU SHOW ANY OF THE PUBLISHED SYMPTOMS OR YOU ARE IN HIGH RISK OF BEING INFECTED. (Www.nhs.uk) Our classes will continue tomorrow and we will make decisions following that session about whether to suspend. Please let us know if you plan to attend. Our Life... Drawing workshop on 28th August has been postponed. Artists using their studios are fairly self contained so we currently have no plans to restrict access at the moment, subject of course to the advice given. No decision has been made yet regarding Artwalk. We will discuss that with our partners. Please stay well and look after each other.

It was scheduled for March 28th at Pendleton Village hall with model Ruby Henderson.
