This is a fun and family friendly place that has great staff with a warm and welcoming atmosphere.

There are many things that you can buy and do and if you are unsure about anything both staff and other game players will be happy to talk to you and tell you more.

The shop they have is great with an excellent choice of everything nerdy, the staff are well informed of the stock and the shop has some good offers like 3 for £10 on card packs. I went to a yugioh tournament that was organised by them and it went without a hitch, well organised and well timed etc. If you're a nerd about anything game related and you haven't gone to Athena yet, go. Just do it and check it out. They've always got tables free for you to set up your own games with friends too both upstairs and down. They're great :D

Stumbled on this place yesterday. Although not a massive amount of stock the variety seemed good. Spacious, so I can imagine playing there doesn't feel as cramped as other places. Friendly staff, asked if we needed help but weren't sales pushy. Also noticed the lack of eye rolling when I asked about Jace Beleren merchandise, which was a refreshing change, lol! Bought some sleeves at a decent if not the cheapest price and 2 Ixalan booster packs. Nice relaxed shop, will definitely be making this place a regular stop whenever I'm in Norwich!

Single handedly the hub of gaming in Norwich. The downstairs store is always worth a browse, and you’ll always spot something you want - from a new game to a gorgeous set of dice, a new RPG rule book to a booster pack of cards. The staff are friendly, welcoming and great at recommendations - several times this year alone, myself or my friends have made a purchase based on a recommendation and haven’t been disappointed!



Ordering items is easy, and their communication about that is fantastic. Then of course there are all of the events, my favourites being the Board Game Blowouts - which are SO useful for testing out Games your interested in - and the RPG evenings on the top floor, which is how I learned to play D&D. Their social media presence here on Facebook is strong, so you’re never unsure as to what’s going on.



Huge praise to Athena, and I hope to see them continue to expand in the future.

I play tabletop miniatures games here fairly regularly. The staff are very helpful and there's a decent selection of stock in the shop downstairs. This store is great for people who can't commit to a regular gaming club or those looking to expand their potential Poole of opponents. My only suggestion would be slightly later weekend opening hours, but it's by no means a deal breaker.

Billiant store. Most people who either are regulars or just swing by for a visit are kind, friendly and helpful. This makes the store a great place to be and regularly play the various card and board games that are widely available.

The only criticisms are there are some individuals who make it less pleasant (not naming anyone in particular) and the tournaments aren't run as well as they could be as often there is only one judge for up to three different games on Fridays and weekend tournaments (such as Gamedays, Magic League and showdowns)

This is a fun and family friendly place that has great staff with a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
