We've been doing a lot of injection work in our workshop recently.
Here are 5 injection pumps which have been fully overhauled for shipment to customers in Panama, Zambia & Pakistan.
On our test bench is a 163HP pump from a customer Unimog U1550L37 which we are uprating to 250HP and the injectors for that Unimog have been tested and stripped and are now awaiting their new nozzles before reassembly.
... Although we specialise in Unimogs we’re fully equipped to take on any repair, overhaul and uprating on Bosch inline fuel pumps up to 12 cylinders.

Roelf brought the mog to us for its annual service and MOT.
It needed an extra special check over as a trip to Asia and Iran for 4-6 months was on the cards and the mog needed to be in top condition.
When carrying out the service, the gearbox oil revealed a few nasty surprises in the shape of chunks of metal from inside the box.
... Parts for these gearboxes aren’t always readily available but luckily we have a stock of good used complete gearboxes which we could offer Roelf.
To get the box out, the engine needed to come out and the cab tipped.
Due to the overhang of the camper box, this was not possible.
The customer was looking at around a weeks’ work to carefully remove the camper body, then the cab and then the engine and gearbox.
This was going to be quite a costly exercise so he decided to cut the overhang off the camper.
Roelf was pleased with the outcome and ready to set off on his next adventure!!

We love helping our customers from all over the world. There aren't many Unimogs in India so we were particularly interested when Unimog fanatic Solly contacted us about a U900 406 model which he was restoring.
The Unimog was in very bad condition due to lack of repairs & maintenance. Having stood for many years several parts had been "borrowed" to help other vehicles.
We were able to help him with some technical advice and some parts which were missing or had been butchered ...from the vehicle.
We think Solly has achieved a brilliant result with his restoration.

Subframe design:
When the vehicle doesn't have a subframe fitted or when a longer than standard body is to be fitted then a bespoke subframe made to suit your requirements is the answer. All our subframe designs are produced on Solidworks. We carry out finite element analysis to replicate real life loading scenarios such as driving on a corrugated road and incorporate a suitable safety margin.
... Our designs are optimised to ensure our subframes are both stronger and lighter than the off the shelf offerings from other manufacturers. Unlike other manufacturers our subframe design is tested to the maximum permissible load for the vehicle. Because we design each subframe to suit your requirements we can include features such as container style twist locks to facilitate easy fitting and removal of a demountable body.
We can position cross members to allow for fitting of grey water tanks, batteries etc. In other words all your requirements can be incorporated into the concept from the start.

A modern functional chip box designed to integrate with the cab styling of the UGN U300-500 Unimogs.
The design of the box mirrors the Unimog cab design with a smooth curve to the roof edges and the swage line of the cab continues into the body.
The chip box fits to the standard platform and uses original equipment corner posts and fittings to give a neat, integrated appearance. We can also supply a complete chip body to replace an existing platform or for Unimogs without a p...latform.
The whole chip box can be unbolted and removed to return the Unimog to a standard drop side configuration in a matter of minutes.
Each chip box is manufactured to meet your requirements so details such as paint colour, rear and side door dimensions and toolbox inclusion/delete can be altered.
The recessed area above the rear doors allows mounting of additional rear lights and warning lights and a conduit is provided for wiring.
The example shown includes:
-Double rear barn doors which allow for rear tipping, hand loading and rear loading of chip from a woodchipper.
-Top hung side door for side tipping.

We have designed & engineered a pick-up hitch & rear three point linkage specifically for UGN (U300-U500) & UGE (U218-U530) models.
The design was completed on Solidworks CAD with finite element analysis carried out to optimise the design combined with our years of experience of Unimogs and a good dose of common sense.
The pick-up hitch builds on the successful design (over 150 sold!) of the existing hitch for SBU models.
... The air over hydraulic operation combined with the safety bar which prevents accidental unlatching makes for a safe & secure hitch.
Pick-up hook, clevis drawbar & K80 ball hitch can fitted to our hitch to maximise versatility.
Recommended trailer drawbar weight of 1500kg, rated to 3000kg.
The CAT 2 rear three point linkage has been designed to meet the relevant standard BS ISO 730:2009 and has a lifting capacity of 2500kg.
Heavier duty rear three point linkages can be manufactured to order.
