Did you know that chocolate production relies on compressed air? In fact, compressed air is used for a number of operations at a typical chocolate manufacturing plant. It is the medium used to propel all the milk processing valves and equipment, as well as powering the air motors used for churning the liquid chocolate. It is also used as a means of operating modulating control valves, for purging dust control equipment, and to control offloading and storage equipment. In a nutshell, without compressed air and Atlas Copco air motors, a chocolate factory would not function and we wouldn’t get our chocolate at Easter! Now there’s food for thought!
