Attain, The Merton Schools Partnership

Attain is an exciting, collaborative organisation involving the strategic unity of many diverse school communities across The London Borough of Merton. Through working together we can be far more effective, which is why this inspirational group of over fifty schools has created a strategic vision to drive the ongoing improvement of education in our borough. Each and every school is situated in a cluster which operates distinctly, while remaining anchored to the central vision through their elected representatives on the Attain Board. We take care of our workforce, providing an extensive CPD programme which guides teachers, governors and support staff to progress their roles in educating Merton's children. With year-round support coupled with specific projects run by Attain, there are hugely motivating opportunities for everyone here. The partnership is presently building on the consistent improvement in standards we have witnessed over the past eight years. In 2018 we saw over 90% of our schools rated ‘Good' or ‘Outstanding' by Ofsted and were ranked first in the country for Progress 8 measures. Our continued success not only depends on the unwavering commitment of all those involved in educating Merton's children and young people, but in recognising the abilities, skills and enormous strength of students who will always remain at the heart of our work.
