Such a beautiful Castle with lots of history, lovely to walk around and in my home town.
Staff are wonderful and very helpful, grounds are a pleasure to walk round. Many hidden gems such as the deer house
Really interesting with lots of history. Staff are very helpful and knowledgeable. Fantastic setting and always something new to see at every visit.
Performed at the All Hallows walk alongside my college and Daisy Arts. Amazing experience and amazing people. Auckland Castle grounds are stunning! Strongly recommend people to visit xx
Lovely place to visit & Dogs very welcome(under control) but doesn't mean off the lead
I attended the Xmas market Saturday with my mam and also Sunday with friends.
We had a great time buying handcrafted gifts and had the added bonus of a chapel tour, followed by a whistle stop tour of the public viewing area of the Castle to see the remarkable work that’s going on, with 2 great guides who answered all our questions and were both lovely and very knowledgeable.
After having 2 lovely afternoons it was great to pop into a few local eateries to be turned away because they were full. We managed to get seated at a pub, no complaints from us.
Well done on a great weekend the Town was thriving with loads of happy locals and visitors.
Had a walk around the deer park in glorious sunshine. Really close to town, river and Binchester Roman Fort so lots of options for a day out with the family.
Great for the spooky adventure that we had. The act that was put on was great. Our two little boys loved it. Date visited 27th October 2017. Although yet to see in the daylight, what we saw when we were there, it seemed very nice.
Great day out absolutely great for kids, lots to see, will be back when the weather gets warmer.
Fantastic place, the staff are very welcoming and friendly
Brilliant place to walk apart from when the sheep have the roam of the grounds, hopefully they won't be back for a while.
Beautiful venue restored to it's original splendour..staff are very professional, helpful and friendly.Future is looking very exciting at Auckland Castle thank you
Amazing venue and stunning castle grounds, loved running the trail race yesterday.....
Went to the library for some food before looking around. Had a teacake which was the nicest one I've ever had. My partner really enjoyed her fruit scone too.
As for the castle itself... Little expensive (£6 each) to see 3 rooms and a small room with future plans for the castle.
We actually spent more time talking to the staff than we did looking around. Had it not of been for the staff and how nice they were I don't think our experience would have been anywhere near as good.
Next time we'll probably just go to the library for refreshments and then a walk around the grounds.
Pleasant place to take family for a walk
Lovely place can't wait to see it after the refurbishment
It is very interesting and the cafe is great,is that shut too?
