We attent at least once a week. Service is always good and the fish and chips are always loved by my mother and daughter. And they Microwave a Fish for me because I cannot have gluten which is always nice. So that we have never been let down and we can never wait to go again and again. And we even take them home to warm up later and they are always nice. Well done to all who work there.
Love this restaurant. Amazing, helpful staff and very kind. Thank you for everything you do for us on our annual trip to Bridlington.
Great food and good value, quick service. Just need to mend the toilet seat!!
Great Fish And Chips. We go there regular. Even youngest grandson enjoyed his fish fingers. Helpful staff as well.
Excellent freshly cooked cod and chips, great service, recommended
Been going here for 31 years love it x
From nottingham enjoyed a nice day in Bridlington. I usually go for fish and chips but decided on pie as it looked nice at next table and it was lovely. Really enjoyed it. Hubby was disappoint with bread and butter would be better if that and cuppa was a set price. Bit expensive for bread and butter. Also vinager was horrible. Either cheap or watered down. Staff very nice and friendly.
Although it was tasty, we thought it was a bit pricey for what we got. We ordered large fish & chips (£6.50 each) but the fish was quite small and thin and not skinned (in our local chippy it would have been classed as a fish special size). It was nice to find somewhere dog friendly although we were asked not to feed him in the cafe. Poor dog had his tongue hanging out lol. We saved the fish skin for him and gave it to him outside.
We have always enjoyed our food at Audreys in the past. Today we were recommended a different chip shop but went back to Audreys. What a disappointing experience today! My fish was edible but greasy. My husbands was returned as it was overcooked. A fresh one was brought but still not normal standard.WE WILL NOT BE RETURNING !!
Says it won an award for best chip shop 2015..must have bribed the judges as it was terrible, pie chips gravey. It was jelly gravey with microwave heated pie, heated up greasy chips....worse I have ever had
We got our fish and chips from here because of the best fish and chip shop banner we will not be going again and wish we had read the reviews on here and trip advisor first. The fish was very small and thin with the skin left on. very bad value and very poor quality fish.
Was extremely disappointed today with our meal. The batter was very very overdone and much too hard to eat so we decided to strip the batter off and eat the fish however there was so much batter on the fish that when we eventually found the fish it was virtually non existent. Also this is the first time during our stay that we have been expected to pay before we even received our food which then makes complaining futile. I had to ask the waitress to take the bread back to the kitchen and put more butter on as the butter was basically a small spot in the middle and the bread was dry and at 25p a portion this was not acceptable. Definitely wont be visiting Audreys again.
Visited 7th December for lunch The fish was very small and flat so not much of it and it was overcooked , chips were like lightly cooked scraps . The meal was served in the restaurant on cold plates and the cutlery was just thrown onto the table . I would not recommend at all . The new owners need to improve their cooking and give people value for money as they are ruining the long established name of Audrey's . I would not recommend and no contender at all for fish and chip establishment of the year - do not believe it !
This is the shit chip I’ve add in my life
They are ignorant I was ignored but she served someone that popped there head round the door not been since. Go to 149 on Martin road they won best fish and chips in the country a few years back. They can't be beaten.
So disappointed with today's meal at Audrey's. We've been going here for years but won't be back.
My fish was way over cooked. The batter was so hard and crispy but not in a good way. The fish inside was nearly non existent and what was there was dry and stringy and stuck to the awful batter. I basically ate peas for tea (I didn't order chips) and I nearly didn't even get those. We ordered them alongside the rest of our meal but they never arrived so we had to ask for them again.
The service was also poor. No one came to ask how our meal was and after we finished/picked at our meal no one came to clear the plates. The staff were more interested in eating tea with their kids and having a chat amongst themselves than in their customers. Because of this I didn't feel I had the opportunity to complain, which I should have done. The experience has ruined my day.
Fish shop of the year , well it takes about a year to get your food poor service.
Fish and chips weren’t bad, but 25p for 1 slice of bread and marge (uncut) and 90p for a small pot of peas NO WAY!!! Like other reviewers should have looked first !!!
Bought a piece of fish from here today no bigger than a fish finger you get from herons, plus the taste of it was awful, someone who lives in brid would appreciate better quality from a so called reputable fish shop, stay away people not good at all plus very expensive, back to jacks for me I think
