I wouldn't call myself a hoarder, but I do often say to myself 'that'll come in for something' with regard to vintage buttons, scraps of lace, old pieces of jewellery, well today on a belt project I find myself slightly lighter.

Making a dress for someone you love is a joy. Time has flown but Miss Debbie is a beautiful today as she was on her wedding day, wearing an ivory soft duchess satin gown and jacket embroidered around the bodice with silver thread and tiny iridescent beads and sequins for a subtle sparkle.

I couldn't recommend Kate more, she fitted my wedding dress to perfection and I felt incredible all day wearing the dress because it fitted so comfortably. She went above and beyond by talking me through packing the dress (I got married abroad) and even helping to repair and spot-clean the dress when I returned. I can’t thank Kate enough for altering my amazing dress for me...she was so helpful, kind and friendly throughout the whole process, which to her was probably something she is used to to doing but for any bride is a very nerve wracking time.

I’m really short so Kate would have had to take the dress up quite a bit and the amount of layers I had would have meant it probably took quite a bit of work.

Despite all this I ended up having a gorgeous dress for a truly amazing and very emotional day. Thank you Kate!

My dress was far too long for me and had lots of layers and Kate made this perfect for me and also created my veil using the lace from the dress which had to be taken up. This was the nicest touch and I now have a veil created from my own wedding dress and this was beautiful.

Kate skilfully altered the back of the under dress to make it almost backless, making it look as if it was made to go under my beautiful over dress.
