Autoism

Hi, I am Leon Watts and I am an Autism and Mental Health Advocate. Autoism is a place to share my love and appreciation of cars whilst sharing the highs and lows of being on the autistic spectrum. Ever since I was three years old, I have had a huge interest in cars. I was diagnosed as being on the Autistic Spectrum at the age of five. I formed Autoism in September 2018 to raise awareness and advocate for change, bring people together and fundraise whilst sharing my passion at the same time. I am so grateful to the car world for always lifting my spirits. Both all the individuals and companies that have helped to fuel and further my love of cars. Their generosity in letting me chat with them, visiting showrooms, events and being able to experience these wonderful cars has helped me overcome the trials of being Neurodivergent. Awareness about Autism and similar conditions has heightened considerably in recent years. However, there is still so many unanswered questions and because it is so hidden, there are many challenges to face. Happily, there are many positives too. My vast knowledge of cars is down to being able to tap into my photographic memory and my ability to network and connect with people is something I am very proud of.
