AutomateMe was created to create educational content on anything and everything "Factory Automation", and create an easy (and free) way of sourcing equipment from the ever-growing potential suppliers. Once the user has learnt about the technology via the (free) infographics and videos on the site, they can start to create their project requirements and post them for suppliers to have a look at. Field project engineers and sales engineers within the industry have helped to populate the questions that are asked to helkp create the "URS" - User requirement specifications. The fact that they've worked on many applications means they know exactly what the suppliers need to know, to be able to at least give a rough indication on price. AutomateMe.com is unique as it is the only website that guides the manufacturers through a series of questions that are specifically tailored to the automation category selected. The questions are designed to help extract what the suppliers need to know (effectively creating a user requirement specification, URS) to be able to propose a solution . . . for free. Once complete and submitted, the URS is automatically emailed to the registered solution providers that have subscribed to the category selected. With most of the categories it will provide them with exactly what they need to be able to propose a solution (if they need to discuss the project further, they can do so through the website). Once they are confident they can deliver what the manufacturer needs, they can bid towards the project for a small fee.
