It's that time of the week again!! 🍹🍹🍸🍸😍 2 for £8 and 2 for £10 on cocktails!! 🙌

We visit Automatic on a regular basis. The food is always good, the cocktails even better, it has a great atmosphere, but one thing that makes this place is the staff. The staff at Automatic are a credit to the business, they are very welcoming and cannot do enough for you.



We visited on Saturday 17th February and I was so glad I booked a table as when we arrived it was much busier than usual and several people were turned away whilst we dined.



Service was a little slower than usual but on the Saturday after Valentine’s Day I would expect it to be. We opted for the special Valentine’s Menu. We didn’t choose starters as I wanted to be sure that I could fit in a dessert. My husband went for the chicken main and I went for the steak. It was absolutely delicious, compliments to the chef. For dessert we opted for the sharing Tarte Tatin - again delicious. We had a couple of cocktails which were really good, but then they usually are.



It was a very enjoyable evening and a really pleasant change to have a special menu to choose from. We love eating at Automatic but sometimes I must admit we do get a little bored with the menu. Maybe chef might consider doing specials on a more regular basis? I hope the Valentine’s Menu went down as well as was hoped - we certainly loved it.

We love going to Automatic delicious food well prepared and presented, lovely staff who pay attention to your requirements take the time to listen and not rush you, that’s why we keep going back.

We have visited Automatic many times over the years and have never been disappointed. The food is top quality and the staff are very friendly. Our latest visit was Friday July 13th 2018 around 4pm and once again it didn't let us down. We would recommend this restaurant to any one who is looking for great food at a reasonable price.

Friendly staff . Our waitress was Ashleigh who was very polite and helpful . Service was prompt . All our food was hot and tasty , especially the homemade tomato/ chilli soup.

The cafe was recommended by my niece and we weren't disappointed 😍

The place was extremely busy when we went, early Friday afternoon, but the staff couldn’t do enough for you, really friendly and helpful, big portions with the food and the two for one cocktails, well... !! 👌 lovely time and will definitely be calling again

The last couple of times I have been here I wasn't impressed with the food but this time it seems they have changed the menu and I could not fault it,had a Cajun chicken burger which was lovely,I was in a party of ten from work and not one person complained about anything.The service was very good and our waitresses very pleasant and efficient.Will definitely be going back.

table and it was ready straight away. You are not rushed from your table, so you can enjoy a chat over cocktails.

I booked as I was attending an event at The Met and didnt want to hunt around for a meal after a 2+ hour drive. I found the food far better than I anticipated and will visit the Automatic again when I return to The Met in a couple of months time.

Great cocktails, lovely staff, very helpful with blind people and Guide Dogs that visit.

Fantastic place, great atmosphere especially in the evening, deep house tunes to make it even better. The spinach lasagne was simply delicious. I cant see it in the menu now but was just gorgeous. Best place to have something to eat and to go out for a drink, all at a reasonable price. Absolutely love it !

Excellent service. The staff are very friendly and professional. The food is fabulous and very tasty, as you would expect seeing as it is run by the Clarence. We had a great time and will definitely be going back for more.

Ate in here at lunch today following a show next door at The Met - staff so friendly - especially Tina (from Greece �) food was lovely and prices are great. Love the children’s menu and so nice to have opportunity to give them cucumber sticks, carrot Sticks, apple wedges or seasonal fruits as a starter- we will be back thank you �

The food was good, we had to move as it was so cold sat near the door and the girl cleaning the table next to us sprayed the table next to us and us as well with cleaning solution, but we had nice evening and will be going again

Staff tonight were lovely. Although food was nice the menu was a little bit disappointing. There was not a lot of interesting choices to choose from. Main portion sizes seem to have shrunk - more like a starter portion.

Had better £3 bottles of wine from Aldi than the glass of house wine

We came in for a meal and at first everything was fine. My meal was ok, lacking a little, a steak is literally a steak on a plate :/ but my wife's Brie panini was awful. Basically a panini stuffed with pepper and that's all. Now we were told it would be removed from the bill, ok fine. But then when we paid it was still there and then to be chased up the street by a member of staff stating we needed to pay more off the bill was disgusting. What an embarrassment especially after we had already still left a tip. Won't be returning

Used to be the best bar for cocktails. Just had a few rounds. Watered down, weak and lacking the wow factor they used to have.. wont be coming back. They have dropped standards dramatically since The Clarence opened

Steak served with chips and a few small leaves. When I asked if this is how it came (thinking that maybe the mushrooms and tomato and proper salad or peas were on their way) I was told yes this is it, sorry. It cost £15 and looked awful.

I came here because in the summer I could not fault it, we had our daughters graduation meal here and it was perfect. After last night I won’t be returning... we ordered onion rings and they came half way through the meal because the waitress forgot to order them

I came here on Saturday tea time with my daughter as a treat! I ordered the chicken tikka salad! When it came the chicken wasn't cooked and the vein in it had raw blood in it! I told the waitress who said it was just a vein! She took it away and brought the plate straight back from the kitchen. She said the chef said it's just a vein and we can't de vein all the chickens. You can eat it or order something else! I explained I have Crohn's disease and eating raw chicken could make me ill! There was no apology and another waitress also told me it was just a vein which made me feel as a paying customer very uncomfortable! I did eventually get my new salad, but my daughter had already finished her dinner! Expected better from such a nice place!
