After a busy Saturday morning of wheel alignments and exhaust modifications to various cars, we found some time to nip over to Snetterton and give the BC Racing Skyline’s new Quaife Engineering 6-Speed sequential a shakedown.
Just a few steady laps to ensure the flatshift and gearcut were working as intended under load with the “old-school” carb’d V8, and happy to say it performed faultlessly! 😎

A half-decent lap in the Evo on a fairly busy Javelin trackday at Donington Park over the Christmas weekend.
Still bedding in the new engine, but at 1.6bar and on old slicks at the end of the day she feels eager for more- the Ross Sport Ltd & Sandåsen Motorsport cylinder head allowing a wider powerband to make the most of the KAPSTrans 6 speed ratios 😎

As it’s Christmas, we felt it time to treat the APT Evo to a fresh heart, with the original block developing a hairline crack after over 10years of abuse. A quick run-in on the dyno saw nearly 700bhp at 1.6bar- plenty enough for our usual Christmas break trackday at Donington Park 😎 Merry Christmas to all our customers, and we’ll see you again in the New Year! 🏁

On the weekend of the event, he won both days with times in the 1:22’s- not bad considering the lack of testing!

Been a while since we’ve seen Anthony Lidster’s car, but it’s recently been in for a few updates. Paddle shift FTW 😎

The run-up to last weekend's opening round of the Time Attack Championship at Cadwell Park was certainly a hectic one for us with some late teething issues with the 6-speed gearbox we've chosen for this year to match the new engine specification which unfortunately continued on the day, necessitating a switch from the paddles to the manual gear lever in the end.
Ultimately it didn't matter as the chances of setting any new records on the day were hampered by rain in the impor...tant Qualifying and Final sessions, and compounded by the track being liberally coated with various engine fluids from other cars.
Nevertheless, the promising signs that the revised set-up are going to yield results were there- setting fastest lap of the day of a 1:28.8 on only 1.6bar boost, used tyres and short-shifting in Practice made us very happy!
Qualifying was disrupted by the issue with the gearbox pump, so we had to switch to the lever with limited time available, and combined with the poor conditions it meant Phil had to settle with 2nd place.
The weather and track conditions gradually worsened for the Final, but Phil was able to get into a rhythm and chip away at his times, achieving a 1:40.3 and taking the win. As you will see from the full video of his session in the comments below, it was a hairy ride out there!
