Still loving the @staticsolutions stat gun. On big fibreglass panels like these #vwtransporter #elevatingroofs static can be a real problem and causes lots of dirt inclusions. Using the stat gun after tacking and in between every coat, including clear, it knocks the static down and vastly reduces the dirt inclusions, saving time and therefore money!

Top tip for the weekend garage warriors- @upol_uk @raptor.official.uk can be applied in many ways, not just through an underbody schutz type gun. All levels of texture can be easily achieved using different thinning ratios, and different equipment. We even use it on some plastic parts for better resistance to stone chips as well as cosmetic appearance, thinned and sprayed through a @sata_global spraygun. Nearly there now. Another sand down and clearcoat session, then a nib n polish and we should be good for the #paintworlds2019 at the Automechanika show next week at the NEC Birmingham!

When it’s going fairly well, what do you do.... sand it all down again, risking all that hard work being ruined, to then clearcoat it again!
