We had Japanese tapas style meal for Mother’s Day yesterday - it was gorgeous - the chilli beef skewers were to die for - the fish cakes were great and the king prawns & firecracker rice with chilli chips were fabulous - highly recommended - can’t wait to go back there soon!!!!

Visited on a Sunday evening for a family birthday meal . Ive been before for drinks so I knew the venue was amazing but to eat .... Kids menu was fab and pleasantly surprised at the size of the adult main meal portions . Fantastic value for money ,definitely be returning soon.

Really good service , waitresses are lovely, good location and the food is lovely ,the set meal is real value for money , being a few times n just popped in when out shopping, and have always accommodated us, not had any cocktails yet but I will next time as they all sound delicious!would defiantly recommend !

I had food with my friends at Aveika on Friday. I've been to aveika a lot but normally just for drinks. The food was amazing, the staff were amazing and the price was amazing. This place is perfect for a meal to begin a night out in Newcastle. The only thing I would say is I wouldn't recommend the restaurant to the older generation or families as with it being a club venue, it attracts a lot of young groups of clubbers and it gets a bit rowdy.

Came here for a Birthday last night and if I'm honest I wasn't looking forward to Japanese food, I'd never fancied it before but Aveika 150% have made me open to Japanese, the food was gorgeous, staff were lovely and the atmosphere was amazing. Can't wait to come back. The whole event was fab all the food was tasty but I'd personally recommend the Chicken Katsu curry it was the best curry I've tasted in a long long time!!!

Beautiful food, well presented, very tasty. Took advantage of the the two course Special which did not dissapoint. Quick service and staff where really nice.

Aveika is always excellent the food never disappoints. The staff are always pleasant and polite, specially Larissa she always stands out an asset to the business she’s part of a dying breed of genuinely pleasant of helpful human beings. The world would be a much better place if there were more people like her. Thank you !!!

A traditional Japanese/Asian restaurant located in Quayside down by the river at the bottom of Grey Street. Very trendy, mood lighting, flashy cocktails and nightclub makes an idea spot for the younger generation. Although the weather was minus 3 it didn’t stop the young ladies wearing their best frock and exposing bare skin all in the name of the latest fashion. Oh to be young again!!



Dinner was a 2 course menu consisting of an entree and main. I was delighted with my choices of Japanese mushroom & peppers and Aveika Green Chicken Curry of which both were full of flavour and thoroughly enjoyable. Very reasonable priced and you would expect to pay twice as much in London or other southern cities/towns for something so well presented and delicious.

A fantastic evening celebrating our sons birthday. The food and service were both outstanding, couldn’t fault anything about it. Great value for money too, would highly recommend and will be coming back very soon!

Friendly and amazing staff. We had a lovely birthday celebration in the restaurant complete with cake and the little firework.

Food was good but please throw your chipped serving dishes out!!!! Not a good look & bacteria thrive on this!!!

If I see this again in a restaurant the whole food is going back to the kitchen!!!

Absolutely rip off I have to say! ��food nice but the service was poor the prosecco slow incoming and they had the audacity to put over a hundred pounds on for service - you are having a laugh!!!!!
