Avenue House Nursing & Care Home

As we reflect on August 2018 we think of the beautiful weather we enjoyed and how lucky we are to have our gorgeous gardens to enjoy it in. We have said goodbye to those we have loved and cared for and said hello to new residents who have joined us. We have also had new staff join our team and we look forward to getting to know them. You will find in the photo Samantha our new Italian speaking nurse who will be working nights and Julie joins our day senior care team. Please say Hi if you see them.

Here at Avenue House two of our lovely staff members have tired the knot this August. Susie our activities coordinator & her new husband Alex travelled to their honeymoon in the Lake District. Faith our Nurse & her husband Darren spent their honeymoon on the beautiful island of Madiera. Congratulations guys

Here at Avenue House we are in full swing making decorations for our Summer Fete on Saturday 11th August 12 noon onwards. We will have Live music,BBQ, Face painting,Stalls, Ice cream van & our local fire brigade will be here, plus much more... Feel free to pop along & visit us everyone is WELCOME #carehome.co.uk

Our very first staff picnic was scheduled for what may be the only day this summer it's forecast to rain. So the plan is to reschedule from tomorrow (Sunday 29th) to a day when summer weather returns.

It's 4.30pm and this is the temperature in the shade and it's cooling down !!!

As the temperature rises don't forget to keep hydrated. Its really important to keep a drink to hand and keep filling it up during the day.

Our summer fair is held every year to raise money for our residents activities fund. Everyone is welcome.
