Avid (Association Of Visitors To Immigration Detainees)

The UK is the only country in Europe to detain people without a time limit. Indefinite detention is hugely damaging: it destroys mental health, divides families, and isn't effective. Most people detained are released back into their community. We work with grassroots volunteer groups around the country to build communities of support for those affected by detention, while campaigning for fundamental change.
