Booked a car in February for a May pickup. When we picked it up the price was wrong. Staff were friendly but only corporate can fix pricing issues. Corporate response was you didn't have to take the car at the higher price. We took a train from London based on their quote but they refused to honour it, to make it worse they already had the highest quote (they were located close to where we were going). We'll never book another car with Avis/Budget. Bait and switch at it's worst. AVOID!!!!

I miss a business meeting because there was not able to move a car booking from 10 to 8. Better have an automated key provider.

The Avis car rental (Oxford) is conveniently placed in town center oxford. The staff are professional and very welcoming. I rented an Audi A1 for three days. The car was perfect with no faults and was very reliable and the good thing was that you could drop off the car at late hours (23:30) which makes it perfect compared to other car rental companies. I also happen to leave some belongings in the dashboard and they gave me a call to come and collect them from the office. Overall a FANTASTIC place to rent a car. I highly recommend it!

Avis is my preferred car rental in Oxford. The people are quite friendly and helpful and the location is the most convenient of any of the rental companies.

Hopeless. Wasted 1.5 hours trying to retrieve the car I had booked in advance - but 'computer problems' meant they couldn't check my car out in their system, despite the fact that all my paperwork was in order. They eventually relented and gave me the keys with an undertaking that they would process it on their system when they could and call me when they had done so, but they never did. I just had to blindly hope that my insurance was in order. Not good, and never again.
