I don't write reviews very often, only when something really appals or amazes me. Aviz appal in every way possible. I'm so irate I made a list.
1. They are impossible to find with no clear directions on the paperwork. I have lived in Shepherds Bush for 3 years and know Westfields well, I can't imagine what it would be like for a tourist. This is made even worse when dropping off the vehicle. There are no directions of which car park to use!
2. The staff are incompetent. When I went to collect there were 4 staff members, only one actually working the others fannying around. When i did get served they put an extra £200 through accidentally on my credit card, and had to re-write the whole invoice
3. No one answers the phone - expect a 30min wait
4. The extra insurace is £96 rather than the £30 advertised on their website
5. Finally and most horrifically they charged me a large surcharge for going over the mileage even though it clearly states on the contract that i had unlimited miles.

really bad experience on Sunday when we got to Avis to pick up our car as planned at 9.00 in the morning and there was no-one at the kiosk until 12.00. There was no information in terms of what is going on and no real alternative plan. We had to take a taxi from Shepherds Bush to Heathrow to pick up a car from there which meant that we left London at 14.00 instead of 9.00 cutting short our 2 day break by half a day. I would not trust Avis in Westfield again. They are completely unreliable.

I did not want to even give them one star...

I forgot my mobile phone charger in the car, which I returned on 31 May. I made three calls to the corporate help desk and multiple calls to Avis Westfield (they never pick up their phone), but have received no contact whatsoever whether they found the item or not, after three 1/2 weeks. Horrible customer service. I also need to warn you that the Avis counter in Westfield is woefully difficult to find as there is no signage in the parking garage. I am definitely going to Hertz next time....

I booked and paid in advance on-line thinking it would be a quick pick-up and drive away. How wrong I was. I spent at least an hour whilst (the very nice) young lady struggled with a computer system that was running on DOS. For those of you not old enough to know, it's what came before Windows. Then her mouse wouldn't work, and then the card machine wouldn't connect.

On top of that the extras for insurance were not made clear on line, and were very expensive, almost doubling the cost of the rental.

And then they wanted 2 different cards for deposits... which will apparently take 5 days to be refunded.

All this whilst the Westfield musac blared out from a speaker just above my head.

Because of the location this ought to be my default car rental shop, but frankly I won't be using it again.

Arranged for the rented car to be collected from my home on Monday 19 December. Nobody turned up. Calling them entails an average wait of 20 minutes, and 5 times I was diverted to an answer machine at the end of the 20 minutes !!

When it was answered it was by a distracted, stressed out lady who promised to call me back but she did not.

Cost me 17 pounds in parking.

Called again on Tuesday to say that the car was still there. Told to leave the key in a safe place if I'm going out. Why the lady on day 1 did not suggest that is beyond me, maybe they think I have nothing to do but wait for a rep from 8 - 6 ?

Anyway, it is now Wednesday. The car is still there. It has a ticket on the windscreen. I do not have the strength to face another dragged out wait on the phone to Westfield.

Customer Services are charming but totally ineffectual.

Anyone want to relieve me of a nice Vauxhall Corsa that Avis obviously don't want ?

Sorry Avis, but never ever again will I use you.

Small agence. It was difficult to find the drop area on returning as it is poorly signed. Construction works in the area did not help either.

Extremely very Slow service. I made my booking online before but the guy kept asking me about my request and how long I need the car!!!. They did not provide any help regarding the baby chair. The worst thing that he did not tell me how to leave the parking (the procedure used to request the security to open the gate) that put me in bad situation because many cars were behind me.

No complains about the car and its condition, but avoid this office
