We appreciate your patience on this matter, due to a very limited area and appliances to work with the making of hot food has proved very difficult and at times unfeasible. We will try our very best to offer some hot food but please be aware at times this is going to be very hard to deliver this service . We will have plenty of sandwiches/baguettes on offer and continue to do a small breakfast menu.

Happy new year to all our customers!!! We are now open again, but for the next 2 weeks we will be serving a limited menu, as we are having our kitchen refurbished.
Breakfast rolls, pies, curries and a lighter range of snacks are still available.

Toilets and showers have all been recently refurbished and so has the shop, all done to a very high standard, restaurant was looking very clean and well presented, didn’t eat as not hungry at the time but will on next visit.

The restaurant is new very clean and the food is excellent. Toilets and showers are very clean and the staff can’t do enough for you.. Loads of parking yes it’s one of the best Truckstops in the UK..

Quality breakfast and nice friendly staff next time I'm in it will have to be the mixed grill looks good

Only being doing distance a month but is best truck stop iv been to. Good price for overnight with meal and shower voucher. Good food with good service, facilities all clean and well maintained.

Nice clean showers with in walking distance of penrith town centre

Had a good nights sleep so must be quiet

Had the special mince pie and veg and was really impressed with the cabbage medley

Ive been at this game all my life and thats the best truck stop . Others should set there standards by it. Remember it aint 1970 any more. We aint just lorry drivers,and we are not all animals . Keep up the good work �Great place.

But let me say this is the best yet fueling a doddle nice clean area.......

But back to the truck stop in a word fantastic staff polite and friendly toilets spotless food plenty and lots of it.

Highly recommended would be making this truck stop again oh yeah........

Parked here a few times and never a problem staff always friendly and food is good. Showers are always clean and hot.



Would of given 5 stars but I use snap for parking and only seem to receive a shower voucher although if you pay cash you get a shower and a meal voucher according to the websitw even though it's the same price

It is what it is! ... a space to park (if you're early enough), basic half decent scoff, good shower room, wee shop and takes snap... 👍🏻

Decent food, clean hot showers and secure.. A little noisy from time to time through the night but we can’t have everything.. 👍

There is a lot noise at nite no parking strategy and fridges running all nite and that fact you only get one shower token is joke can't even have shower in morning for people who like to and pay £2 is a joke and parking is not clean on feet ��

Some Friendly staff one or two had faces like a slapped arse, meal was good even though the veg tasted a bit watery, surprised that I had to pay a £1 for a cuppa refill and the cash machine charged £1.99.......but I would stop there again.

Food was ok , not ala carte but for what i paid not complaining , excellant showers and clean. Bar a tad small but for a can it sufficed.

Been going here for yeasts on and off. Gets better every visit. Lots of local produce on the menu. Excellent food at a good price. New refurbished so even better. I still call it the red rooster!

I think it's really bad when you are getting up at daft o'clock too start work and there has been 4 trailer changes right in front of me on the second row, called them and security said what do you want me too do about it I'm busy he said so very little sleep there last night spook too manager today to have it sorted but been bloody knackered all day 😡

I had to eat my meal using one hand as I had to use the other to fend of the army of flies that were attacking my food. I don't know why so many flies seem to gather in the restaurant as the food isn't great. Maybe they sensed somebody was about to croak from food poisoning. Last time I eat in there, which is shame as I will miss my arms sticking to the table and the chronic back ache I get sitting in the chairs... And the bad coffee..
