Now, if you have broadband at home with your phone, laptop or tablet attached to the internet then this is just what is happening! You may not be able to see these strangers but in this case their intent is to gain access to your information such as passwords, banking credentials and other personal details. These ...'strangers' are malicious software, botnets or real-life people attempting to fool you to give away your information.
Luckily, for some of us, we have safeguards in place to keep that malicious software or those people out. However, things do go wrong and the situation is only going to get worse as attacks get more sophisticated.
