You know those MEMES of hairdressers passed out after the Christmas customer rush...? This is sports therapists after January when everyone's back to the gym! I've no Saturday or evening appointments until February and limited daytime slots at the end of January... it's all gone a bit nuts!!!

A delightful view for me today as I worked. The gorgeous 9 week old Freddie who was superbly behaved throughout his mum's 60 minute treatment.
New mum's - your back hurts, I know! Feel free to bring baby with you to appointments. We go with the flow and have a casual approach albeit most little ones tend to sleep throughout!

This lovely client of mine has not only battled breast cancer herself (and won) but she's now running the London Marathon. The training is gruelling - this is not an easy challenge. If you can, please sponsor this worthy cause. Thank you!

I finally started Pilates 3 weeks ago now my daughter is at school (and I have some time!) and I really cannot recommend it enough. My core muscles are coming along nicely, stabilising my lower back meaning no lower back pain. The exercises have drawn my attention to a weak left glute which I can now work on and this is only the beginning! If anyone wants details of my instructor (I'm having one to one sessions) then PM me for details.

Due to a cancellation, I have a free slot on Wednesday 2nd at 6.15pm. Any takers?

An enormous well done to my lovely client Liz Prankard for completing The London Marathon yesterday in a superb time. I know the training has been gruelling! Looking forward to helping to relieve the DOMS a bit later!

Today's client massages will include Traps, Sternocleidomastoid, Scalenes, Lats, Rotator cuff, Piriformis, Glutes, Quads, Hammies, Gastroc, Soleus, Pecs and all the muscles in between. Excited. Love my job!

Lower back pain causing you to stoop? Too painful to stand straight? May be resolved by releasing the Iliopsoas muscles through the abdomen and not working on the back. Where the pain 'is' often is not where the problem comes from.

WOW! This was my first visit to Aylesbury Sports Therapy, but after struggling with a shoulder pain from exercise for some time and having had other massages which just didn't touch the problem, Bekki was recommended to me. To say I'm impressed is an understatement!! I've come away feeling like the tension across my shoulders has been completely deflated and removed, and that's after one visit! I'm already booked in for 2 weeks time to continue the work and will be going back once a month after that to support my regular fitness plan. Can, not, recommend highly enough! Thanks Bekki.

The reason for my visit to Rebecca initially was for shoulder pain. It's a problem common amongst most gym-goers; that dull yet annoying niggle at the front of your shoulder.

After feeling for knots and subsequently unravelling them, things began to loosen up and I managed to find full flexibility once again. Surprisingly the problems were found in connecting muscles and parts not solely where the pain actually was.

As well as iron your muscles out, Rebecca also educates on how he problem occurs in the first instance - reducing the probability of it happening again.

I am active around 4 to 5 times a week and find large muscle groups do require regular relief. Therefore, I see Sports Massage as a necessity rather than a luxury.

I went from having no exercise at all to working out 5/7. My (not so happy) muscles/joints end up giving me a lot of pain in return as punishment and that’s when I sought the help of a professional. Rebecca has been an indispensable part of my journey back into being active. She’s patient and always goes the extra mile by giving me stretches as ‘home work’ to keep me going til the next therapy session. Think no more, if you are in pain and need an expert I totally recommend you give her a ring.

User

Great service! Had a very stiff shoulder/neck and Rebecca got straight to the point and ended with showing me some great stretches which have helped me loads! Would definitely recommend! Thanks again Rebecca :)
