Saturday night at Ayo’s

such flavoursome food and diet friendly (well..... it could have been if I didn’t have the chips!) This will be a regular for me now!

me and my wife went last night 8th July.

we had a fantastic meal we booked an inside table because we did not know what the weather would be like we asked if we could sit outside but no space that was fine

after about 10 minutes sitting inside the manager/ OWNER came over and moved us outside because a table became free �

All the staff were very friendly and happy to explain something if needed.

we even had a nice chat with manager/ owner

Definitely will be going back xx

Went there for my birthday had a great night food was lovely atmosphere great staff very friendly had a great night food not very cheap but not bad for a special occasion

We arrived last night when the restaurant was in the middle of a power cut & were told there was a limited menu as the grills were not working. We decided to chance it & I'm so glad we did. Most tables were occupied, lit by little candles & the friendly, professional staff coped wonderfully. The food was delicious & we can't wait to go back & choose from the full menu.

This restaurant is simply amazing... been twice now in the last two weeks and the service and food is fabulous... on a lovely summers day sat outside you just cannot beat it. 5 star restaurant... definitely worth a visit x

My wife and I came recently and were very impressed. We love Turkish food and I can honestly say (without taking away from the competitors) that this restaurant was better than any meze, Turkish, Greek, style restaurants in St Albans.



I saw people's comments saying you can get the same for less in town but it's simply not true, the only other place of the same quality would be Tabur and it's not cheaper.. �

I'm normally not bothered about Turkish food but this place looked too nice not to try,and it didn't disappoint. If you like this type of cuisine it is a must. We are already looking for space in our diary so we can revisit. Excellent!

Great place to eat, we booked a table for 6 on Saturday 14th and turned up to be delighted with the décor and welcome we received. The food was fantastic and the management made the effort to introduce themselves. We will definitely be going back for more.

The team is always happy to accommodate special requests! Went there with a full "free from everything " friend and they accommodated everything she wanted. Highly recommend to have a go at the Turkish red wine!

On Fridays they have live music!

The lamb was particularly good, really tender and delicious, but I enjoyed everything - the sharing starters are well worth ordering. I love Turkish food and have visited many Turkish restaurants but this is the best I have found so far. Will definitely be visiting again.

Beautiful fresh food and fabulous service

Ayos is lovely inside, the layout and decor is great. The staff are friendly and pleasant and the food was fabulous. We were kept entertained by the beautiful belly dancer and I felt that the atmosphere was relaxed and comfortable. I would definitely return there and recommend going to Ayos for a great meal out 👍🏻😁

Went last night for my sisters birthday, our 4th visit to the restaurant and they did not disappoint. Staff always friendly and they can’t do enough for you. See you next time..

We had a table for 6 last night. The food was lovely....fresh and good quality and we loved the decor too. One downfall I am afraid was the service... For a family run restaurant it lacked any warmth at all. Many restaurants have occupied this building in recent years and not been successful. The competition in St. Albans is huge so you need to go the extra mile on service. A friendly, happy waiter makes all the difference!

I have been here twice now and on both occasions the food has been excellent! The downside is the service! Shockingly slow to the point of ruining the experience! My first visit was a busy Saturday night so put it down to being busy however on my visit the weekend just gone I arrived at a quieter time to the exact same slow service where on a number of occasions we had to go in search of staff! Such a shame as the food really is good!

2nd visit. First time we went we were greeted by really friendly staff who couldn't do enough for you. The food and service was very good. The place was buzzing. We absolutely loved it. Our second visit unfortunately was disappointing. My husband asked if he could have an Adana Kebab on a bed of rice instead of on a layer of bread. The waitress said she would check with the kitchen but the manager came over instead. He was the most miserable manager of a restaurant I have ever encountered. He promptly said no they couldn't accommodate this request and that we could order rice in a separate bowl. Where is the logic in this!!!! Secondly I chose The poached pear for dessert and was told there wasn't any. Why advertise these things on a menu if it is not available? It was only early in the evening so they couldn't have run out. Very disappointed with the attitude. Won't be going back in a hurry.
