b-live.com is an innovative online service that aims to support young people (aged 12 to 19) through their personal, vocational and educational development. b-live.com is made up of three subsidiaries: b-live talent, b-live recruitment and b-live marketing and consultancy, b-live.com manages employer /institution contracts across all major industry sectors and partners include HSBC, BT, Morgan Stanley, British Gas, Laing O'Rourke, Siemens, Saint Gobain and Whitbread. b-live talent works with employers /institutions to create a 4-7 year student development programme. This includes ongoing personalised engagement to target groups through the b-live site, industry related lessons, and work related learning. Each programme helps students to develop well prepared CVs, produced within the b-live site, and provides employers with a high quality talent pipeline. b-live recruitment allows employers /institutions to post vacancies /courses directly onto the b-live site and to send alerts to target students from their talent pipeline. Appropriate students are sifted and applications are directed to partners or via a competency–based interview process including CV and application screening. Recruitment costs are reduced between 35 - 60% . b-live marketing and consultancy provides employers and relevant organisations with specialist youth engagement services including student surveys and focus groups, strategic planning, design and editorial and targeted banner marketing. The b-live community now includes over 180, 000 students (12-19 yrs) and 1000 schools and is on track to reach 400, 000 students and 1, 500 schools by the end of 2009.
