Over the past 6 1/2 years Chapter 12 has continued to evolve and adapt, bringing new products, services and enhancements to the excellent customer experience we aim to deliver. The next steps in our evolution require that, unfortunately, we will be need to be closed to the public for a few days... So, from Friday 7th September until Thursday 13th September Chapter 12 will be closed as we perform these essential tasks, but we'll be back and ready to serve on Friday 14th September. Wow! , really enjoyed our wedding invitation to your venue yesterday afternoon and evening. Great food and drink and an atmosphere that's both classy yet informal with perfect entertainment thrown in. Spot on, we'll definitely be back.

Went here for the first time to eat last night and I honestly don't know why I haven't sooner! They food was soooooooo good and the music was perfect, the bottle of wine wasn't bad either... �� definitely be coming back soon! I can hugely recommend the Nachos!

Warm, friendly, stunning venue for cocktails, music or delicious food. Great service and lovely to have a venue in Hailsham to listen to music, meet for a party or an event.

Chapter 12 is a really peaceful place on a Saturday lunchtime - don't get me wrong, it's busy - but the music, ambience and the waiting staff give a really peaceful feel in today's busy and bustling world. I go in there with my four-and-a-half-year-old and even he is as good as gold!



Set on two floors, it retains many of its original features, one being a building tile at the front door of one of the original components to the Hailsham Coat of Arms - the Sheaf of Corn, Crook and Rake, to illustrate the agricultural and connection from which Hailsham derived its status as a market town.



The menu ranges from normal (sandwiches and filled jacket potatoes) to an atheistically pleasing banquet (I didn't get what it was called but it was really attractive to see). The sweets are just as tantalising. The "Deconstructed Banoffie" was too mysterious not to see. Well, I was not disappointed at the culinary work of art that was put before me. And a taste sensation! I haven't even mentioned the breakfast or dinner menus - you can eat here all day!



Then at night, the place is a popular wine bar, inviting a great range of musical entertainment. The location is also used for many networking events and meetings for the town in the function room on the first floor.



One of the reasons for the popularity of the establishment is not the vast amount of events held there; it's not the wonderful decor and pleasing furniture; and although the menu is a strong attraction, the headlining act (for me) is the sheer professionalism and natural charm of the staff. In Chapter 12 you are transported to the likeness of a 5* hotel restaurant, being immediately greeted with a smile and the attentiveness continues right up until the moment you leave.



And if you are a Hailsham Card holder, you can get an extra 10% off the final bill.

The Sunday jazz and lunch was fabulous! Amazing menu and excellent value for money. Not sure why I haven't been here before but I will definitely be returning! �

Spent NYE 2017 here and the staff smashed it! Never a shortage of drink, good atmosphere, good live band, good food. Couldn’t have wished for a better night! ��� round of applause to all the staff!

My second visit to Chapter 12, really enjoyed again the food and lots of respect for the vegetarian and vegan options which were delicious and so good to see more than one option. Service was also very good.

Lovely atmosphere, good food and wine, excellent customer service. Just wish they had better facilities for disabled people as we’d be in there so much more �

Hired the upstairs for a 70th birthday party- food was fab, management and staff were really accommodating and helpful! Had a wonderful time and would definitely use this venue again. Thank you Georgie and the rest of the team X

Chapter 12 comes highly recommend ! We held an event here and the function room is beautiful. The buffet I ordered was delicious , the selection of drinks available is outstanding and the service is fab! They did everything possible to accommodate all of our guests and I cannot wait to visit again soon!

Another great evening spent at Chapter 12 . Lovely food ,friendly smiley staff and Tom Fitzpatrick 😄 will definitely be returning .

I'll get the small negative out of the way, the barman on duty seemed very bored and not very personable. Maybe a quiet, long shift or a bad day. Usually the staff are very interactive and friendly. The ambience and the bar is always good. I usually pop in with a neighbour to catch up over a glass or 3 of wine. There is a good selection of wine and it's a great local with a bit of style. so you don't mind paying a little bit more for your drinks.
