This gorgeous baby Toby was born on B5 last month, first baby to parents Caz and Sam. At 36 weeks Toby was found to be breech (presenting bottom first). Caz had an external cephalic version (baby was turned around by a doctor applying pressure to the abdomen). This meant that Caz was able to have a normal birth. During the labour and birth Caz was pleased to have been cared for by her named midwife.

Our B5 babies for July...... a busy month 😊

Our colourful flags for July, we decided to add some of the babies born at home, and as not everyone lives in a house we thought we’d make it it a bit more fun by using other types of abodes.......although we didn’t actually have anyone having their baby in a tent or caravan!!! πŸ˜β›ΊοΈπŸšπŸ›₯ we made it down one side of the corridor and part way down the other this month!!

Pregnant women are advised to take a 400 microgram supplement of folic acid daily until 12 weeks of pregnancy. Ideally this should be started 3 months before conception.
Some women should take a higher dose of 5mg. This needs to be prescribed by a GP. These women are: -diabetics... -women who take medication for epilepsy -women with a family history of neural tube defects or spina bifida -women with a body mass index of more than 30
